For the price, works pretty well
Compared to binoculars that I have gotten around this price range, it seems to have a bit more zoom. It works well as a monocular and I would say it is perfect for things like bird watching or sporting events.I have uploaded pictures with and without using it attached to my phone. Note the vignette (outer ring of blueish black) and slight chromatic aberration (red and blue edges of objects). The focus of nearby objects is not as crisp as I would have hoped. The whole phone mount kit is difficult to set up in a hurry, but if you get some time and stable ground you can snap a pic and crop out the vignette. Be careful as the plastic mount seems flimsy for using long-term.All in all, for $28 (at the time of reviewing) this thing is definitely a capable little zoom lens. Do not expect professional photography out of it, but definitely nice for seeing something far away or snapping a quick pic without getting a $400+ professional lens.

Poor optical quality
I guess the low price should have given a clue, but although it looks fairly decent, the optical and mechanical quality is not worth even the low price. It has very bad pincushion distortion and chromatic distortion, and the image is not sharp even when focused as well as possible. I will be returning it.

Not worth it!
Product cheaply made, the phone lens piece is suppose to screw into bracket but cheap plastics threads won't hold the monocular, it falls off. The monoculars telescope seems decent but due to one cheap piece(that connects it to your phone) that kind of kills the whole unit cuz you can't use it.

Nice as standalone, cellphone attachment a plus...
For the price range, it is decent quality. It can zoom well non moving object,. If you plan to take photos with the cellphone of moving objects like birds or anything, you might end up frustrated. As a standalone telescope it works as intended. The plastic holder that goes into the camera lens can sometimes move so I don't think it will work well outdoors unless you find a table of some sort.Kids love to snap pictures of cellphone with the telescope...

Improved zoom results
Like most smartphones, the digital zoom on my Samsung Note 8 leaves much to be desired. I wanted to try an add-on optical zoom to see if I could get improved clarity workout the fuzziness. This item does what it says and suits my needs. All of the components (housing, lenses, etc) are plastic, which should be expected at this price point. The housing has a rubber-like feel that provides a good anti-slip grip. There is a knob that controls focus. When attaching my phone to the lens with the provided pieces it took me a couple minutes to get the phone camera lined up correctly with the lens opening. The tripod helps with keeping the image stable. In the attached photo, you can see that the edges of my toolbox are fuzzy when using my phone zoom but are much clearer when using the optical zoom attachment.Overall, it's a pretty good item for the price. Don't expect professional quality but the results are better than using a built in digital zoom.

Very fun for all ages
Children love it. You get a lot for your money. Many attachments make this pretty versatile.
