This baton turned out to be a lot better than I was expecting. It's very well made and menacing. I definitely would not use this as self defense on the street for fear of having it taken and used against me, or the legality of it in the eyes of law enforcement.However, using this for hiking or home self defense is much more practical and would probably come in handy if a bad situation came up.

To light and made of a weak plastic, I recommended getting something metal because they are the same price and better

Extends easily, much lighter than a steel model. Flexes pretty good, but expected that due to lighter materials. Seems like it will hold up well.
