kwmobile 3in1 micro USB OTG hub adapter for Nvidia Shield Tablet/Shield K1 Tablet micro USB splitter in black

I got this so I could use an additional controller plus charge my device at the same time and it doesn't work.I tried only using it as a hub, without plugin in any power (a la USB OTG) and it didnt work. I also tried just charging through it and it didnt work either. Not recommended.

I received it and noticed it didnt work right off the bat..
