These are pretty groovy and they work
I consider myself a man of science and I don't trust voodoo hoodoo eastern science, but let me tell you something about these glasses: They work.I put these on and go out in the sun. After a few minutes, I actually feel calmer. And happier. I was a little freaked out so I went online to do some research to see if there was some scientific basis to the effect. In the late 1960s, Alexander Schauss, Director of Life Sciences at the American Institute for Biosocial Research in Tacoma, Washington, did studies on psychological and physiological responses to the color pink. Schauss had read studies by the Swiss psychiatrist Max Luscher, who believed that color preferences provided clues about one's personality. Luscher noticed that color preferences shifted according to psychological and physiological fluctuations in his patients. Luscher asserted that color choice reflects emotional states. He theorized that one's color choices reflect corresponding changes in the endocrine system, which produces hormones.Schauss then wondered if the reverse might also be true. Could color cause emotional and hormonal changes? Could various wavelengths of light trigger profound and measurable responses in the endocrine system? In early tests in 1978, Schauss observed that color, surprisingly, did affect muscle strength, either invigorating or enervating the subject, and even influenced the cardiovascular system. Schauss began to experiment on himself, with the help of his research assistant John Ott. Amazingly, he discovered that a particular shade of pink had the most profound effect. He labeled this tone of pink P-618. Schauss noted that by merely staring at an 18 × 24 inch card printed with this color, especially after exercising, there would result "a marked effect on lowering the heart rate, pulse and respiration as compared to other colors."In 1979, Schauss managed to convince the directors of a Naval correctional institute in Seattle, Washington to paint some prison confinement cells pink in order to determine the effects this might have on prisoners. Schauss named the color after the Naval correctional institute directors, Baker and Miller. Baker-Miller Pink is now the official name of the paint whose color has the following RGB code: R: 255, G: 145, B: 175.At the correctional facility, the rates of assault before and after the interior was painted pink were monitored. According to the Navy's report, "Since the initiation of this procedure on 1 March 1979, there have been no incidents of erratic or hostile behavior during the initial phase of confinement". Only fifteen minutes of exposure was enough to ensure that the potential for violent or aggressive behavior had been reduced, the report observed.

i wish i could buy these in a discounted bulk quantity. i've been wearing for a few years so have to replace and i' give as gifts.I'm sensitive to light and also i'm introverted so i always wear these in public-- they cut harsh light, shield me in my own little space where the BM pink keeps me calmer AND they're pretty flattering so i don't have to think very much about how i look ❤️ ~loyal fan

My hubby bought these for me and I Love these glasses
My hubby bought these for me and I Love these glasses. When I first put them on I could feel a sigh come out of me, and even I was a bit surprised by it. But they definitely help keep me calm in stressful situations and able to look for the up side and solution in the scenario. I wear them instead of sunglasses a lot. Only downside is as a woman the shape is a bit big, but I didn't like the sporty style, so overall an awesome buy.

SENT THE WRONG GLASSES
Disappointed. Although the glasses were marked as being in stock, there was a substantial delay in receiving them. They are supposed to be the model that can be worn over prescription glasses. As you can see from the pictures, the lenses are smaller and differently shaped and do not have the tabs to sit on top of glasses. The color is correct. I had a migraine at work today, so it would have been nice to get these more timely-especially when they were supppsed to be in stock. The turquoise & orange glasses fit nicely over my prescriptions or can be worn separately. I would appreciate it if BioWaves sent me the correct glasses, after which I will update this review.

Useless for indoor use
I read reviews on these and was believing that these were for indoor use. Wrong! I have a condition called Sjogrens which causes me to beextremely light sensitive. I wore prescription FL-41 lenses from Axon that were perfect for indoors especially while shopping in store withlighting that caused extreme headaches and vision problems. Since having cataract surgery, I no longer need glasses and was hoping to findsimilar glasses to wear in stores but not have to pay over $100. No luck with these. Way to dark for in doors and way too light for outside use.So totally useless for me

They really worked!
So far they are working for my daughter. She wears these a couple of hours each day and puts them backon whenever she feels a migraine coming on. She also has medication to take for her migraines that only worked about half the time in the past. Now she adds the glasses to the medication when needed and it has kept her from getting full blown migraines since I bought these for her. There is peer-reviewed science behind the use of colored lenses for migraine sufferers. This color is the one that's been the most help for the greatest number of users. Since the glasses have worked so well, we will now buy a permanent optical quality pair of glasses in this color. Try these. There's not much to lose at this price point and yes, they are pretty cool-looking on!

They're very calming
I have read that Baker-Miller Pink has tested out as being the most calming color there is. When I put the glasses on, not only did they fit my head much better than the pro style and seem much sturdier than the original design, I felt instantly calmer. And I am not one for whom placebo works.
