The rounded crown is pieced in six gores and the wide brim is supported by 2 outer rings of millinery wire. The pattern is printed on high quality white bond paper and comes in 12 sizes from head size 20" to 25 1/2" with separate crown pieces for interfacing and fabric. The instructions feature large hand drawn illustrations and easy to follow steps for cutting, sewing, and fitting. The Sophia Hat can be made from quilting cotton prints (as shown in photo), silk, and linen.
