XJSXZC 10 Pcs 12x12x9mm PCB Latching Tactile Tact Push Button Switch

This switch is the perfect size to replace a faulty switch in a Dewalt DCL040 flash light. (Could not get a switch via Dewalt). You’ll have to drill 2 new small holes to mount the switch to the circuit board because of this switches solder lug orientation along with 2 jumper wires to connect to existing circuit board solder tabs. Once done the flash light is functional again.

I needed a latching Push On Push Off switch that fits into either a prototyping board or a breadboard.Not sure it the pins on these are long enough for a breadboard, but the spacing of the pins is correct (0.2 inches apart) and they are very adequate for soldering onto a prototyping PCB.The switch seems to be rather robust, but time will tell...Be aware that these look smaller in the photos than they actually are. They are 1/2 inch square,and take up a fair amount of space on a prototyping board.

These are small so don't look intrusive (approx 1/2" square and 1/4" thick), and are either positively off or on, NOT momentary. Matches the momentary one that was already on my project. Easy to solder wire pigtails on it before mounting with double side sticky tape.

Inexpensive on/off control for student projects. No problems reported so far, except where switches were exposed to cyanoacrylate fumes during some assembly procedures. Several switches stopped working after that exposure, so beware if you're using glues like that.

These switches performed as expected. I would recommend to others.
