Belt is very useful in safely helping a senior get in and out of a car or chair. Also useful in helping them walk without grabbing a arm or piece of clothing. Very sturdy. Aides in a skilled nursing facility use a similar grab belt, but without the handles. The handles make this grab belt easier and safer to use.

It is not as heavy construction as the simple belts found in hospitals and nursing homes. It is advertised as a 4 inch wide belt but it measures 3 inches at max width. The buckle strap is a conventional 2 inches not the advertised 4 inches. AMAZON needs to remove this item or have the seller change the product description.

This gait belt is unusable. No matter how I attach it, the belt refuses to remain solidly attached. Useless product.

The handles on the belt make it easier to grab the belt to assist a person up the stairs.
