SC80-14X18X1-6 MERV 13 Pleated Air Filter (Pack of 6), 14" x 18" x 1"

We live in Seminole, FL (by the ocean). The red tide has been really bad this year. I have some health issues that cause allergic reactions to the dead shellfish toxins released into the air. It is unwise for me to take any allergy medications. Our air conditioning unit will struggle with anything beyond a MERV 13. These keep the air clean enough for me to avoid anything but an occasional sneeze. I have read that a small number of people have had issues with a tight fit. There is a bit of a gap on all sides, but it still makes an easy and effective seal.

What do you call this? I ordered a certain size filter and they arrived, but when I inserted it it just flopped in because it was .5 inches shorter than advertised, even though the correct size was printed on the filters! These are not 2 by 4 wood studs that everyone knows are not actually that size. I strongly advise looking somewhere else to buy. If your filter does not fit snuggly air surges in around it rendering the purpose of the filter pointless. Now I need to wait for an order from another company to arrive. Also, the construction is very shoddy and the cardboard frame was delaminating. Shame on you.

We had been purchasing high end name brand filters for a few years and at $20+ a pop it really added up. Once we switched to these I was amazed that they are just as good if not better and you get six for the price of two of the others! This is the second time we have ordered these, they helped tremendously during a recent tile job which had to be done in our apartment. Even though tile dust was on everything in the living room both bedrooms which had the doors closed with the A/C running during the work were completely clean! The filter was of course full but had caught everything and at this price not an issue to replace. The MERV 13 rating is one of the highest you can get for home use, beyond this you get into hospital surgery and clean rooms.

My wife has asthma problems and we live in a not so clean apartment. This size filter seemed a little difficult to find in the stores and was ridiculously expensive. These are a pretty penny, but not as expensive as the store. The MERV 13 definitely helped to clean the air and my wife's asthma is exceptionally better.We could definitely tell it was working too. It would be white when we installed it and even after one round of the ac/heater running would turn it a gray color because of all the dust and dirt in the air. Helped to make the whole apartment fresher too.

great filters. we have been using these for a couple years now. we have 2 old old in our yard and 3 pets and these help keep our household air clean.

I was hesitant to buy non-name brand filters and couldn't be happier. These are better quality than the name brand ones I have been buying, arrived in perfect condition, and work very well. I would definitely recommend trying these versus the name brand filters and save yourself the money and get a better quality product. The size was perfect and the filters felt very strong, not weak like some I have tried. These will be the only filters we using moving forward!

Works great and can tell a large difference in particulate matter throughout my house since switching to these air filters. Definitely cheaper and more efficient then ones you find at Home Depot or Lowe’s

These filters are so thick I had to call maintenance, they told me they were too high quality for my apartment system and I need to use cheap ones!
