Humminbird780028-1 UC H5 Unit Cover for Helix Series

Not sure why seeing posts on this not fitting properly. I have the Helix 5 sonor Chirp2. Fits nice and snug. First few times you put on you need to pull a corner tight. Once in the unit a few days it’s perfect. It definitely is a good fit and will prevent any water getting in.

If you have a helix fish finder buy this with confidence. It fits tight as you want it to but not so tight that it would cause it to rip unless you were tough on it or there was a manufacturers defect.

The fit is a little tight initially. The seams look a little weak. Time will tell how long it will last.

I have no idea why people are giving this cover that high of a rating. First of all, I thought it would be like a "bag" of some sort as I had read it was soft. It's only the front. The product is soo tight that when I installed it, I noticed the seam was coming apart. You try so hard to put it on, I was afraid to scratch the lens with my fingers. I was laughing at this product when I opened it. I could not believe Hummingbird would charge 31$ for this. I would not even pay 15$ for it; I will look for something else out there to put my Helix 5 in.First time I return an item to Amazon and it looks very easy. Thank you Amazon.

Used for only a couple of weeks on the Helix 5 G2 fish finder, which this is supposed to be designed for as per the description, and it’s already got a hole. The quality is not there for what we paid. We expected a bit more than 2 weeks of use.

As previously reviewed , this product is undersized for the Helix 5 unit ……… it barely fit and I tore one corner putting it on .. am disappointed that this fault has not been corrected by hummingbird as it has been apparent for some time … do not waste your money on it …..I would have given zero stars if I could have .

Humminbird should be embarrassed to sell this cover for their Helix series GPS.This piece of crap is not only difficult to place over the GPS, the material is almost a marginal upgrade from cardboard. Use a sock or a buff pad from an orbital polisher for better and more economical results.Do not buy this low-grade product!!!

I agree with those members who said the cover fits too tight and I also ripped a seam when trying to stretch it on. It’s too bad because I really like the looks of it. I’ve only had it in service a couple months and would return it if it wasn’t too late.
