Works great and vibrate is more effective than shocking for my dog
I replaced a pair of Sport Dog remotes that I had used on 3 Labradors for 15 years. They finally wore out on the third dog and after replacing the batteries once the cost of battery replacement was almost as high as the price of this unit. We rarely used the shock feature on the Sport Dog but once they associate the shock with the beep the beep is all it takes. My recommendation would always start with a beep. I'm running the vibrate at 48 on this unit and the shock at 3. I have never had to use the shock. Beep and if no response, then vibrate and instant obedience to the command. I find the new to me vibrate feature to be perfect. I'm getting good range, tested it to 200 feet or more line of sight and it was fine. The kit comes well assembled and easy to use. The remote is very light and the collar is lighter than the Sport Dog. The vinyl collar band is very good as it doesn't absorb water and won't stink. Readability in bright sun is marginal but most times it is set up indoors and only buttons are used in the sunlight. My only constructive criticism would be that I wish the remote was waterproof as I'm often around water I have had it out in the rain in my pocket and it got a few drops and survived. I think a two position switch for dog 1/2 would be better so you don't mix up which dog you are commanding with the multi push of the 1/2 button, but that is a minor item. I am very happy with this remote. I'd buy it again.

Range is about 20 feet, making this useless
Update: Reducing to one star. Figured out why it wasn't consistent. It only has about a 20ft range, so unless your are waking your dog on a leash, which defeats the purpose, this thing is useless.I don't like that it doesn't work consistently. I push the noise button to make sure the channel is correct before i use the vibration and then shock mode and over half the time it doesn't work when it is only 10-15 yards away. I try switching the channels on the remote and it doesn't matter. I don't have much confidence in this thing.

Save your money
I bought this because it had a decent range on it...but... This has a range of maybe 50 feet, if I'm being generous. The beeping works...most of the time. The vibration doesn't seem to work unless I'm right next to her. And the shock doesn't work at all. The collar turns off by itself.

Very useful
Absolutely fantastic piece of equipment. Our dog used to run towards people and other dogs in a happy, friendly manner but at the same time always barking. I purchased the training collar having had it recommended to me by another dog owner. Having used it on two occasions on the vibrate mode, the transformation in my dog was not overnight but instantaneous! Walking the dog off lead and taking her into dog friendly pubs/restaurants is now such a pleasure as she does not bark or seek the desire to go and say hello to every dog or person. I must stress that my dog has not lost any of its loving playful personality whilst wearing the collar. I have recommended this item to other dog walkers who had similar issues with their dogs.

Vibration really works
I'm pleased with how this works so far but I must say that one of the first things the packaging says that you don't read here, is that you should not use this on an aggressive dog or a dog that can have that behavior. Well, I have what I will call an over reactive dog that is fairly new to us. He can be the most lovable boy but try to eat the Vet or service person that came into our home. I'm not sure if I mean eat as he did not actually bite in either case but he is 52 pounds of solid muscle and very vocal which is darn scary. So, step one, I got a muzzle, the cage kind and he is getting used to that. Step 2, I now have this gizmo and hope I never have to use the shock function. The beep function makes no impression on him, but at about a level 6, he had a reaction to the vibration. The only thing I want to use this for with him is to distract him from what goes on at our neighbors. We live rural and have 2 acres. We have a dog yard fenced off for all 3 of our dogs. We put up privacy screens along the fence between our neighbors and the dog yard. However, he fixates on the far corner where there is no privacy screen and barks like the bully dog he is and takes a stance. I'm hoping that this will work so I can get his attention to come when I call him.

Flawed
I wanted to love this and like everything about it except sometimes the button didn’t work or I had to be right next to the dog for it to work. Not really practical for training. Maybe we had a dud but it had to go back.

Its worth it!
This is so much better than a very expensive training collar I had purchased at P***O it works very very well I have 2 dogs and I really needed to an adjustable collar for my small poodle this worked super great....on the other side with my golden retriever it's already trashed the collar itself not the vibration device part just the strap of the collar since its a type of a lil flexible plastic collar. I don't think its very durable for strong big dogs as something long term I just bought this not even a week ago. But like i said works wonderful on my small tasmania poodle. I wish it came with an extra adjustable strap.

Would recommend
This works really well on my dog. He was starting to try to dig under our fence when we would be in our front yard without him and I was afraid he would get out. I usually just have to use the beep and he stops doing whatever he isn’t supposed to do. Every once in a while I have to use the vibration on 1 (it has levels 1-100) and that stops him right away. I’ve never had to shock him. He is a 14 pound cavapoo for reference. This is overall a great collar. I highly recommend.
