Himalayan Salt (2 Pack (4 lbs))

I was really excited to get this salt. I've been using another brand and decided to try this one out, big mistake. I filled up my salt mill and made some chili. While eating it felt like we were eating sand. So i got about a cup of the salt and sorted through it. Put the pieces that didn't look like the rest in water. I left those pieces in the water for around 3 hours and they did not dissolve So what ever those pieces are, they are not salt. Also while sorting I found another foreign object. Looks similar to a piece of skin? I am not quite sure what it is. I can't recommend this product.Update: I continued to sort through the salt and found many small white pieces. I tried one and it was extremely bitter. Maybe limestone? I updated the photos and added a picture of the white pieces.

As I'm pouring the salt into my grinder, I find a metal spring in my mix of salt. Does not make me feel that this is safe. Return window is closed but makes me want to throw the whole bag away.

This "gourmet salt" comes with a serving of rocks. Luckily I used this for making bath salts instead of cooking, but I gave many jars away as gifts and they will now experience rocks in their bath as I have. Very annoying!

I JUST noticed that this salt is mixed up with some pink colored rocks(!!!) as small as the salt crystals and the return window has closed back in November. What am I supposed to do with all that huge bag of bad quality salt?!

The salt part of it is great but I happen to come across numerous crystals of what I believe is limestone. Those crystals powder down if you pinch it and they taste horribly bitter, like chemicals. So I make sure when I use the grinder to take out those particles. I expected better quality for that price but when these companies are start ups pretending to be Nepali and such, how couldn't they be so careless! If someone can clarify, I will rate it at a 4 star, no more.

This is the second 5 pound bag of this salt that I have purchased in the last 3 years. Reviews mentioned theyhave found rocks in theirs. I use this salt in big kettle cooking at least 2 to 3 times a week. The first 5 poundbag I finished about 2 weeks ago, never did find a rock in it. This new bag, so far, no rocks. I am not sayingthese reviewers didn't find rocks in theirs, I am speaking of the salt that I purchased.Now the real reason, this is the most unique flavorful salt that I have ever used. It appears that it will makea large kettle of stew, beans, chili, etc. come to its full potential flavor by using this salt. I use the COURSErock salt. A palm of the hand half full of these rocks makes it right. ( according how big of kettle you areusing) . No need to spill fine ground salt all over the place, use the rocks and have less mess and it's moreaccurate. MY OPINION; best purest, cleanest and flavorful salt on the planet...

i read the reviews about sand pebbles mixed in and thought they had to be fake. i was amazed to see just how many sand pebbles are inside the bag. dark brown and easy to see maybe about 10% of the bag is sand. you can even see the plastic bag looks dirty on the inside. sadly the reviews about the sand are true.

Got 8 more bags. been using this forever in my grinder. I love it. I have adrenal problems and salt is CRUCIAL for me. If not my doctor said I would have low sodium. This is EXCELLENT. Compare this salt to your table salt nutrtion panel. This has HALF the sodium as normal white bleached nasty salt and the flavor is so so so much better!!!Try a bag and you will see, that this salt is not just for me! If you hate to have to grind, just look for this brand that is fine!
