FM DX Antenna Co Long Range Outdoor Vertical Reception Antenna 88-108 MHz

This is the best thing I have purchased in a long time. I live about 50 miles from a major city in Tennessee (in hill country) so reception in my barn/workshop was nonexistent. I could only get 1 station with bad static on my stereo receiver. I tried other cheap FM antennas which failed miserably. This was my last try at getting good FM reception. I put the antennae on 20 ft of PVC mounted on the outside of my barn. Bought good quality coax cable and grounded it. When I hooked it into the receiver, I couldn't believe it. I now get 20 crystal clear stations and 10 stations with slight static. I am ecstatic. The antennae is working great. Not many products exceed my expectations but this one does. Next project -- putting up a good AM antennae to get SEC football for the fall.

I have purchased two of these units and wanted to write about them. This is the industrial strength FM antenna I sought. I have one unit attached to the second floor soffit (no mast needed) serving two different stereo receivers with a Y-connector. Works very well for us to pick up big city stations that are 30-40 miles away. I purchased the second unit for a cottage and it provided respectable reception from a bench test in the basement ! Can't wait to get it mounted outside. You should plan out your installation using 75-ohm coaxial cable (standard cable TV variety) and purchase a splitter (F connector) just like the one included that attaches to the FM receiver. If you are not accomplished in running wires through your house then ask a friend who is.

This antenna is deceptively simple , built like a tank and cleared up all my reception problems. Don't let the look of the antenna fool you, it really does work!

i have this over 20 ft in the air and i get a good signal from the close stations but nothing at any distance. My car will pick the station up but this won't for some reason. Bring in the local station real good better then what i had!!

The antenna is very well made of quality components. It is simple to install and can be mounted either vertically or horizontally (I got better reception horizontally). I purchased it to bring in a station about 25 miles away as the crow flies, through the rolling hills of the Oregon Coast Range. I cannot get the station at all with an indoor antenna; I can get it with hiss and this $49 outdoor antenna mounted about 15 feet above ground. I can get the station without hiss using the Antennacraft® FMSS Omnidirectional FM Antenna also sold by Amazon for less than $20. The Antennacraft antenna has about 6 times the length and even more area of metal to collect the signal, and it shows. Works wonderful. Picks up FM from 60+ miles away crystal clear.

Vastly improved reception

Reception of FM stations was unsatisfactory as I live in a valley surrounded by hills and the stations are distant. I examined many antennas until I found the 1/2 wave dipole outdoor antenna (88 to 108 MHz) offered through Amazon.com. I now receive, in excellent clarity, most all FM stations available from the SF Bay area. It was reasonable priced and easy to install - I am 75 and installed it on an 8 foot mast by myself. I recommend this antenna and Amazon.com!
