Same as other brands, made some modifications
I have had these types of lights submerged in my pond over the years. Most fail after a year as the end up leaking water. Purchased these and following other suggestions here, made some modifications. First, using clear silicone, glued the gasket, and the lens, then put on the retaining ring. They do not seem to lock very tight on these models. Second, cut off the connector, stripped the wire and hardwired into my low voltage light wires that ran near the pond so power and timer functions supplied by my outdoor lights. Now pond lights come on with the rest of the landscape lighting without setting another timer or running the power to another outlet. Lights are bright white and look very nice at night. Time will tell if they hold out but for the money I will take a shot at it.

Arrived Used & parially broken; Modular Design is a Plus
I bought these because they were some of the only ones that were more analog in terms of color changing, and that they were 12VAC by default, meaning you can run them off a landscape transformer.Interestingly, they appear to be GU-10 bulbs on the inside (see Pic) so the "bulb" is replaceable in theory, but not repairable without removing the potting, so that's a 4/5 to me.Simple, modular, o-ring based design with basic off-the-shelf LEDs you can get for a dime a dozen otherwise, so I'm inclined to keep these, despite the lenses all coming clearly worn and one "bulb" 25% out. A 5-series was a dollar more than the 4-series so I'm not that mad. More manufacturers should build on and follow this design, rather than chasing RBG, remote control LED controllers that are trash when they die in 6 months. They look great for now though! (pictured is the blue filter) And I will be purchasing another set.

Sturdy construction- color selection good!
We have an outdoor fountain we bought relatively inexpensively from friend who runs a garden center - lites definitely add another layer of cool and like the fact u can change colors around - would lave liked a more baby soft blue but definitely worth the little bit of bucks to bring this to next level. Garden center friend also recommended adding a soft scent and / or a teeny bit of bubbles for parties or whatever:)

Cheap Quality - I Found an Alternative.
As others have said, they light up but the build quality is very poor. When I unscrewed the cap to change the lens color, I discovered that the seals were folded over and not seated properly in a couple of the lights. I doubt very much that they could remain watertight underwater for a prolonged period of time. In addition, the circuit board with the LEDs mounted to it does not seat properly in the housing. So it will point at a weird angle. All in all, these lights strike me as a consumer grade toy rather than a professional grade product that will last for years. I spent a lot of money and time building my pond and waterfall and wanted something better.I ended up using these blue and green marine lights for my pond and waterfall instead. They are rated for IP68, meaning they won't leak when underwater. The light from them is adequately bright for my application and they aren't very expensive. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07952HV4K/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07952W6Y2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Great Lights - Come up Short....
I ordered the same lights from another seller and was very happy with my purchase. The lights are perfect for use as submersible lighting in a large Koi Pond/Water Garden. Found these on Amazon at a considerably lower price and ordered four sets. Regrettably, they do not include mounting stakes. Unable to find aftermarket stakes that would work, I Jury-Rigged stakes out of threaded rod. (Pain in the Butt) The lights themselves work great, they give the pond the after dark effect I was looking for. I suggest spending about 15-20% more and getting lights that include mounting stakes.

Great pond lights
Nice lights. I sealed them like everyone else recommended. They have been in my pond for 2 months now and still work great. They are all attached inline so to not use one or two, you have to cut the cord. However, I could see adding more inline as well in the same manner. I cut off the voltage box as I have the lights hooked up to my other Low voltage lights.

like the fact that they can be used in water ...
I bought 1 set, then a second and am now ordering 2 more, like the fact that they can be used in water or in the garden, the LED's are certainly nicer to use than the halogen type bulbs, having 5 caps of each of the 5 colours is a bonus and they are really pretty in the pond as well as lighting up my garden. Most pleased with my purchase !!

Great lights, I bought 2 sets
Great lights, I bought 2 sets, for my 2 ponds no leaks, bright light.(without the colored lens's the light is around 4000k) Considering anything local was like $90 for a 3 light set, i think this is a great deal.
