Fated Mates: Book 1 of the True Mates Series: A Werewolf Shifter Paranormal Romance Kindle Edition

This book went on. And on. And on. I stopped reading halfway through, then started looking for other books, then wearily tried reading it again. Note to the author: when you have a series with a about a million people in it, you don't need to say who they are almost every time you mention them. After the first few times, it is on the reader to remember them. However, YOU should be able to keep them straight. I made it 62% of the way, until Victoria became her sister, then herself. Done. I deleted it. Also, why did Liam take a red eye flight when he had his own plane? The writing was pretty juvenile overall. It just did not flow, it was a chore trying to finish, and I had other things to do with my time. In the interest of full disclosure: I have read other books by this author, and enjoyed them. This one, though, nope.

I only got maybe a third of the way through this book and had to set it aside. I don't like stories where the MC is not in control of her fate. So in this she suddenly discovered she is a shifter. OK. That isn't bad, but what comes after is just a whirlwind of her choices and life being taken from her. She is told to attend classes and study on how to be a shifter. She was told that she has to go to dinner with the alpha TONIGHT, so they send her to a spa to get all dolled up and dressed pretty without her getting any input into it. They change her wardrobe, they alter her schedule, and then I had to stop reading when they were talking about having to put on a "coming out" ball for her because of course she has to now be paraded around as a viable mate for the males. And she just....goes along with all of this. Ugh! I want a STRONG female lead that will take charge of her own fate! She should alter her own destiny....not play by the rules.....that is what I look for in a good story. I've already removed this from my kindle and won't be continuing it.

Alynna is a orphan that inherited a PI business from her uncle. Her life is normal until she finds herself in this trendy nightclub while following a cheating husband. She meets this hot guy and can’t seem to shake her lust. She has a blackout during their time together. After that her life will never be the same... She finds that her father is not what she thought and her parents relationship was not a normal one. Most importantly she is not what she really thought she was.Very well written plot with strong and funny characters. Good pace and with twists and turns. Truly recommend!

What an absolutely amazing story! This book has been on my to read list for a while, but I’m not sure why I never started it. The characters are fantastic! Each turn of the page made me fall even more in love with them. They each had pasts, and personalities, and a depth that had me looking for them in the streets. And the story was totally enthralling. I love how the author brought the characters together and put so many obstacles in the way of the HEA. Each one just added another layer to the story, and I couldn’t put it down. Now I find myself falling down the series rabbit hole and I can’t wait to read the next book. After reading this one, and the heated innuendos, I have to believe that it is going to be epic.

I might be reviewing this while slightly tipsy...but only because while being slightly tipsy I thought the best thing I could do at this point in the evening is open up my kindle to read Book 2 of the True Mates series since Book 1 was so awesome. Book 1 was amazing. I read probably 2-3 books per week so if something really strikes my fancy (yes definitely tipsy here) then that means it had to be pretty excellent. Awesome story writing...I think I’ll conclude the review at this point as it might have been not really that helpful this whole time. Just know this book and series is amazing. You have to read it.

I read a lot of werewolf shifter books. I was too sure about this book in the beginning. I'm thrilled I decided to try it.Grant is the alpha; he didn't know about his long-lost sister, Alynna, who his father had with a human. Grant was very surprising in his actions with Alynna. This relationship is refreshing.Alex meets Alynna at a Blue Moon; he has no idea who she is on Grant’s security detail. When he realized she was a shifter, he info Grant.Alynna is a woman who has lost her entire family. He mother died of cancer. Her uncle recently died, and she is struggling on her own. Until one night, she went to a club. Her entire life will change. Will she accept the new life, or will she fight it? Her brother Grant will he be accepting of this outside child or will he arrange for her to die?

Great rags to riches story. Orphaned private investigator working a case meets a sexy stranger in a bar. Sparks fly and things take a strange turn literally. She transforms into a wolf, she didn't even know they existed. Also she finds out she part of werewolf royalty and has an alpha big brother. She's being hunted but don't know why ot by who? Her and Alex try to keep their distance but can't seem to keep their hands off each other. A series of events bring the young couple together and they find out they're true mates and parents to be. I'm a little surprised that the would be assassin was caught or even identified. Looking forward to reading the next book

The love story of Alynna and Alex. Alynna go to a bar when she meets Alex. He scene that she is a lycan but she does not know it. While they are making out she begin the change. She is taking to the New York Alpha and learn she is his sister. How someone want her dead. Alex is her bodyguard and he can't keep his hands off of her. Is she his true mate? Great story.

I don't read a lot of shifter romances, because I often find them a bit silly and samey. This one hasn't disabused me of that notion, unfortunately. But my biggest annoyance with this is the pacing is all wrong. The heroine and her love meet, and get to third base (on page 12!). Then everything back-pedals and their relationship slows right down to longing looks and sarcasm for the next half the book. But as they've already fingered each other, there's no sexual tension. They don't seem that well suited as personalities, and I just didn't feel that emotional attachment you get with a good romance (where you really want the characters to end up together). This was all a bit blah.

This is the first book, and though not short, there is clearly a lot more story to come. A complex Lycan community, both local and worldwide, in some respects set up mafia or military like, with the attendant hierarchy, rules and traditions. No running off into the woods as a pack, this is quite a different take on werewolves, and an engaging love story throughout

Absolutely one of my new favourite authors. Started with The Blackstone mountain series and now I am ready the true mates series and l am loving it. Happily ever after addiction right here. It's fun and charming read with enough content to make you smile from ear to ear. Hot and steamy scene leaving flustered. Truly wonderful story and a worthwhile read.

If you like shifters and mystery stories you won't be able to resist this series. The story is a stand alone but leaves a mystery unsolved that is fine unless like me you just have to know the answer but since it is such a very well written book reading the next in the series won't be a problem just pure pleasure

I'm gonna enjoy this series. This first book was brilliant. Different from the shifter books Im used to, even from this author. Makes it more real. Action, romance, on going storyline. No can't start book 2, it's gone 1am, roll on breakfast timeSue P
