I had low expectations on this solution to may aging 2007 G35's shifter knob, but it really blew me away (once I figured out how to shrink it a bit)After following the install instructions, the leather fit well everywhere except right around the button you press that allows the shifter to move from park. It was saggy/had gaps. I tried a but of water on it, and some reviewers recommended gluing it down (I didn't want a semi-permanent solution like glue)So, after some googling, I tried some alcohol had sanitizer spray (everyone has this nowadays) on the parts than needed to be shrunk.... I wet it well, pressed the leather into position and waited for it to dry naturally.The result, a perfect fit!So, if you want to dress up your worn out shift knob, grab one and use the trick to make it fit perfect.

Our original Infiniti FX gear shift knob has become scratched and worn over the years. This cover was much more economical than purchasing a new knob. It was somewhat easy to install but needed three attempts on my part to get it just right. (Anyone with sewing experience would probably get it right the first time and in just minutes LOL.) It's a terrific fit, but I wished it was a little more snug around the shift button. Fortunately, that portion isn't visible much from the driver's/passenger's angle.

There's a bit of wiggle room around the button for the shifter, but over time the leather has formed more accurately to the shape of the knob. Even with the fitment not being as perfect as I'd like I still really love the look and feel compared to my shift knob without it.

Great snug fit and good quality! It took me a few tries to get the stitching right and it finally worked once I put the piece where it should be and used a mirror to see the stitching I was doing. Wish it was a bit more snug by the button but I’m happy with the improvement over the worn out knob. Totally worth the money!

Great solution to the paint on the cheap plastic accent piece on my G37 gear shift starting to crack. The fit is really good, not perfect - a little loose around the button, but certainly good enough. Leather is soft with a nice feel. Sewing up the small section to close it around the shaft was pretty easy after watching a youtube video.Great solution that is much less expensive than an OEM replacement.Even arrived much faster than I expected.Edit to add: resolved the fit issue around the button. Added a dab of superglue on each side and smoothed down the leather. Now fits perfectly!

This came to me in black leather as shown with red thread and a needle to sew it all together....ARE YOU SERIOUS?!

This looks and feels great! A lot of the reviews and pictures I looked at before purchasing didn’t show the shift button and how it was affected, so I wanted to show that. It was easy enough to figure out the stitching without instructions.

Purchase this product on 11/1/21 and I have to say it was easy to install and I feel like it was a decent upgrade for my 2011 QX56. Definitely like the feel of the leather when changing gears over the plastic knob the vehicle original comes with.
