Square Stand for contactless and chip

I ordered this stand October 2018, and it stopped working in December 2018. The USB port is faulty, so my IPad cannot stay charged, and my cash drawer and printer cannot connect. I have called square with my customer code, and I was told by their customer service team that my stand is still under warranty, but they could not help me get a new stand...this is Amazon's issue. I'm getting thrown back and forth between Square and Amazon, and in the meantime, I cannot use my cash drawer or receipt printer at all. I can only take cards at my business, and it is hurting our sales. Please help me!

The quality is AMAZING. The packaging is very well done.. It feels almost like it's made by Apple (that's the quality I feel from it). Set up was a breeze, and honestly if you don't know how to run the app, you can ask any 8 -14 year old to show you how, it's that easy and intuitive. In the 3 days I've used it, it's made it's money's worth about 10-20 times. Plus, the easy tip option made it that 97% of purchases tipped over 2$. Also, it has an offline mode (in case your internet gets disrupted), in which it keeps all that data, and once you are connected to Wi-FI, it processes all your purchases, so you don't lose out on any sales. Honestly, I'me VERY frustrated I didn't have this before.

So I like the stand and it would get a 5 star review, but I'm not exactly sure that I got a brand new item or not. The product came in the most amazing package, would remind you of Apple...but on the front of the stand frame around the ipad there are tiny scratches, it's not smooth like you'd expect something brand new to be. Also the swipe part that actually runs the card through, the plastic is ill fitting. You can squeeze the back wall of this part and the plastic is bulging out at least 1mm or two and you can see it's not sitting flush with the rest of the stand...The seams should be spot on like they are with the rest of the stand...but they're not. Would love to exchange it and give another stand a try, maybe I just got a funky one?

I purchase this i believing that I was getting an almost like new merchandise. About 2 1/2 weeks later I decided to set it up for a trial run. I tell you that I did not get that far. While inspecting there is chip and crack on the base, the back of the stand is full of dried hard substance, dirt all in the cracks. If this company cared about their reputation they should have made sure their product description and product match.

I really like this set up. It’s seems every durable, it’s heavy to it won’t get knocked over and it looks very professional. The one issue I’ve discovered with migrating from using Square in my phone to the iPad is the visual grid inventory page set up is limited to 7 tabbed pages which is not enough for my business. I bought this system thinking my entire inventory could be displayed visually, but I can’t. I wish I had been able to read more about the limitation regarding that specific issue. Most people would be ok with that as it allows for 175 individual items to be shown with thumbnails, but for me I’m losing more than half my inventory. Hopefully they fix that issue in later updates.

Not sure this is where to put this but I was not able to get help anywhere else. I ordered 12 of the square stands at one time 3 of them did not have the chip reader and pad packed in the box and I’m having no luck getting the missing items replaced. Looking for help

Ok, I think that the Square Stand is genius and I love the ease of the interface and the fact that it is portable and perfect for small business. My major issue is that the charging cords aren’t working properly with my iPad. It constantly blinks on and off that it is charging and then not. It is not my iPad as it charges perfectly with an Apple cord, and I make sure that it is situated properly and making contact with the lightning piece. Since this is designed for exclusive use with an Apple iPad, you would think that it would seamlessly charge. Luckily I only use it for a few hours at a time so I just take the iPad out and charge it separately. However, if I needed to run this all day, I would be extremely dissatisfied. I have tried two different units to see if I had a defective one. It is still the best solution for my needs, but for the price of the system, I expect that it should work properly.

We have been using square for our business since it first came out with the original iPhone reader. We still have an original Square Stand for the iPad 2 that is going strong. We have gone through more than one of the newer stands, with constant connectivity issues and things randomly not working. We run fast paced sales and just can't rely on these new models. : (
