I used it a couple times since it got delivered. Way more easier to dig up weeds by clawing into the dirt and simply lifting as well as holding longer grasses that are growing in between flowerbeds where you can slice them from the top. Have no complaints I’ll probably buy some more Japanese tools because they’re more conventional and easier to use but still being simplistic.

This tool has been amazing. It removes wide blade grass weeds, digging up tough roots and tough edging weeds as well. This is s very strong tool; highly recommend.

I loved it until the blade chipped! It’s a great size, is easy to hold, and a decent value for money spent. It made tearing up the grass for my new garden bed fairly easy. Easy to clean as well. Once you get the hang of it, it’s easy to use and makes weed or grass removal a quick process.

To cut the grass in my little garden and borders and it's very sharp. I like it this is the one we had to used it in the Philippines.

I use it for what the tool seems to have been made for, scraping under the grass that grows where it shouldn't, like along the edge of a flower garden, and it does a super job. But aside from that its' point knocked into the ground will loosen the soil around the roots of tougher things. I was just digging out hundreds of small oak trees that popped up since last years bumper crop in my mulched area. They already had taproots that were 4" long and were ready to stick in the soil forever. I have pulled up the edges of pebbles and rocks with it, reached way back under plants to pull weeds and vines forward, so I could cut them. Pulled up the edge of paving stones that were hard to pick up any other way. Well I have been using it for almost any and everything in the garden and it's sturdy and solid. I do treat it well, and clean it off when I'm done, and have got a small Japanese rust remover stone I go over it with occasionally keeps it smooth and rust free. I love this tool and no-one beats the Japanese for useful, well thought out gardening tools. This tool is one of the most useful things I own for gardening.

I have persistent weeds in a few of my garden beds that have driven me crazy for years. This weeder solves the problem in literally minutes. It’s very sharp and the angle gets under the plant to chop the root. You then just easily grab clumps of weeds and get rid of them. The pointy end can also dig down if needed. Some weeds need to have the root removed as well, and that does the trick. It’s so easy to use.

It feels sturdy and the grip is comfortable, but like another reviewer mentioned, it arrived with some kind of clear coating on the edge. I assume this is to protect the blade, but even after removing the coating from the edge of the blade it was far too dull use and I had to grab a file and sharpen it myself. I looked around the listing and couldn't find any mention of the coating or how to remove it, so I have to assume that it is intended to arrive sharp but mine just didn't for whatever reason.

It helps pull weeds from their roots. I wish I had known about this little gadget years ago!
