Deceptive picture
Picture includes launch pad. Price is indicative of a full kit. What you receive is a poorly packaged $9 rocket with bent fins and no pad.Amazon policy requires sellers picture what is actually for sale. Estes is in violation of that policy. It's going back.

Are you wondering if this product is worth it?
This is such a great affordable rocket for your first time. As a begginer I found the assembly not only easy but really inspiring and motivating because your learning about the design and engineering behind it. And it is such a great feeling when you actually make it with your hands, and you relize that you can actually accomplish its construction as a young adolescent. It definitly would be my top recommendation for a first time rocket.

Easy To Assemble, Hard to Break
I love this series of rockets. If you’re more into flying rockets than building & repairing them, this is perfect. The tail fin assembly is all one molded piece of sturdy plastic, so it goes on effortlessly without sanding, measuring, glue, and paint. And when the rocket lands, they’re resilient so don’t break off the way wood fins do. Kids love these, and it’s a fun afternoon for everybody.

Estes are the best affordable model rockets available
I used to do rocketry with my kids when they were little. Now doing it with the grandkids. We painted and assembled the rockets on Saturday, did the recovery chutes and final assembly on Sunday morning and launched them at the park on Sunday afternoon. We had a great time all weekend!I still have a few of the old (early 90s) Estes rockets and accessories. There is a noticeable cheapening of the materials and the manufacturing isn't as precise, so some careful adjusting is required during assembly for the rockets to fly true. But not that big a deal, and I didn't have any missing or wrong parts as some reviewers have experienced. The launch control device is wonky, but I was able to fix it with some pliers and a tiny screwdriver. If you launch at a park you may draw a crowd. That’s part of the fun! Just keep them back as you launch to remain safe. The kids in the crowd will volunteer to retrieve the rocket-that’s a plus!!

Perfect!
Sweet little rocket. not much to it. But with the plastic fins, it's a survivor! Over 10 launches so far. I even cut the hole in the 'chute so it falls faster. (last one sailed into the woods). I highly recommend this rocket. I like A engines for the first launch, B and C sizes for altitude after that. Little thing moves! I'll update total number of launches as soon as it fails. I've never gotten so much out of a rocket.

No launch pad and missing pieces!
Does not come with launch pad and also I was missing the nose cone. I was not impressed as it is alot smaller than what it looks like in the pictures.
