Many can compare shpongle and Hallucinogen to being like the Dead or Phish of the electronic. As the foremost known band around the world representing psychedelic culture, teaming up with Alex Grey, and a 4 album legacy plus the Hallucinogen monniker, these guys are one of the heaviest hitting electronic acts out there. Since 1996 they have been touring the world, putting on amazing stageshows, and they return with this 7 track album which is their first since 2010. highly anticipated, they are known as the most prominent band of the Psychedelic Trance genre, with fans reaching from Goa, India, all the way through the new hippie communities of the Southeast America. A must for all electronic editors and fans of downtempo, infected mushroom, and many more. Often seen performing at festivals alongside Bassnectar, Infected Mushroom, and more.

My Head Feels Like a Frisbee
This has to be one of Shpongle's best albums. There is a great variety of styles that cater to many tastes, while still being Shpongle. There isn't a track that I don't love on this album, which is very rare. Everyone I know that has listened to it, agrees that "Museums of Consciousness" is their best work yet!It is perfect to drive to and even better to trance dance to! It's the perfect music to relax in a favorite chair and unwind after a long day. There is something about this album that just makes you feel good.I love this album!

Far Out Man
Shpongle is sound of intelligence in the world of computer music. I wish they would have been around for my acid days but I still get wonderful flashbacks when I listen to them.

A masterpiece
Yet another foray to Shpongle Land! The landscape is sumptuous, brings to mind a night jungle aglow with phosphorescent mysteries... lavish and fascinating, its various crevices invite the mind to travel softly yet boldly. Overall, a stunning display of psychedelic perfection.

Shpongled Again!
What's not to like about Shpongle except the length of time between albums. I don't compare to previous albums but enjoy the new. Each album has it's own personality. This is another Shpongle album to play over and over until it wears out the cd.

Yes Shpongle!
Shpongle delivers once again. Although, not my favorite album, this album has much darker elements. It still gives you a sense of amazement throughout. The sounds and tunes coming from this artist is unmatched!

I’ve Been Shpongled!
My greatest and most exciting music discovery during 2018 is Shpongle, all six studio albums are outstanding without a single ‘duff’ track amongst them, all being brilliantly musical, innovative, mastered and engineered.

not their best, this is more a 'chill out' session
They should have presented this record as their 'chill out' album, maybe I would have felt and approached it differently. This record has no ups or downs it's totally mellow, so nice for late at night or early in the morning with a book or 'something else' in the bath or on the couch. So, if you want a totally ambient chill out album, this might be the one for you. If you fancy some up beat and quirky Shpongle than I recommend you buy another album. I personally do miss their quirky ethnic sound. Still, looking forward to their next offering though..

Like all good music this one’s a grower.Take the time to explore each layer, picking an instrument and following it is instructive and rewarding. Excellent drumming throughout with some excellent guitar work from accomplished musicians. Not overly produced to a moribund death thank fully but would still have benefited with a bit more brightness. If you are not sure at first don’t dismiss but give it time.

I actually really like this one.
Been a Shpongle fan from the very beginning so have all the albums. I saw a lot of people not overly impressed with this album so I approached with no expectation. I really like the album. I like the somewhat upbeat nature of it and I find the songs solid and "back to business". I know that dance trance is not really what Shpongle is about but I liked the honesty of this one. It just says "Hello...here's some tunes" without trying too hard. It feels better. The last album I felt did try to hard and though technically good vibe was it wasn't there so much. This is not a criticism...catching vibes is like bottling lightning...it can't be forced.....just a time and a place man....!

Shpongle are unique.
Some of their older albums are better, but there still isn't anybody else to beat Shpongle.
