Fake Bake The Face Anti Aging Self Tanning Lotion, 2 oz

With fall coming on, my freckles fade and living in the pacific NW my winter means constant rain and drizzle. My summer glow fades and I become pasty white. I've been researching and reading reviews about self tanners for my face...ones that I wont cause me to break out, leave an orange tint, look totally natural, non-greasy, affordable and reputable. I got the Fake Bake self-tanning face lotion a couple days ago. Reading the directions, I exfoliated my face last night and applied the Fake Bake to my face and went to bed about an hour later. None of it rubbed off onto my sheets! Following the directions again...I washed my face this AM with a mild face wash, and applied more, and then applied my make up...note I applied to my face, ears, neck, and chest last night and this morning so that it would all blend and look NATURAL. I am soooooooooooo pleased! My boyfriend even complimented me this morning. He said my skin tone looked even and healthy. I am totally sold on this product and will be using it apart of my daily routine until I reach my desired color...then just maintenance from there! I look foward to using the airbrush product by Fake Bake on my legs this winter as well! Love, love, love this product so far. Should that change, I will update my review at that time.**10/8/12**Update**I recommend about an hour before applying the Fake Bake Face Self-Tanning lotion to apply deep moisturizing lotion to your face. It helps when you apply the self-tanner later NOT to darken dried spots on the skin. If you have any blemish marks, I've noticed that it does make them a little darker, but using a green concealer stick does the trick! Still loving it and using it about every 2 days, as it does wear off with normal daily washing.

Forget everything people are saying about other products you need to buy/use to make this work better. Just wash your face well beforehand and don't put on anything else but the tanner. The tanner will give you color, but won't last long regardless of what you do. It lasts about 2 days if you don't overwash or mess with your face too much. I am normally pale and freckled, and it gave me color. However, you will have to color body as well or color difference from neck down will be noticeable. I also purchased the fake bake body tanner and it is pretty much the same as the facial tanner, it will give you results but will need to be reapplied often. Both products will rub off on you sheets/pillowcase as others have stated. The product will work, even for us pale freckled types, but it isn't a miracle product by any means.

I was hesitant to buy the Fake Bake Face but after reading positive reviews, I decided to purchase. I was not let down. This product does exactly what it advertises. I apply before bed (after removing make-up and washing my face). In the morning I splash water over my face to rinse off the residual pigment. I'm left with a natural bronze look. When using this product I don't need to apply a lot of make-up. This works perfectly as light coverage. This product does wash off once you wash your face using cleanser, but I don't mind. I've found using it every other day allows me to maintain a nice summer glow.

I wanted a face tanning lotion and read all the great reviews on here so I decided to purchased this Fake Bake Face Self-Tanning Lotion. I've never used Fake Bake products before so I was excited to try this!This lotion goes on with a nice light tint color however when I washed my face it disappeared and I was back to having my pale face (I'm blonde/blue eyed).I would say that this lotion is more of a tint moisturizer than a self tanning lotion.Having said that I do really like it as a moisturizer. It has Matrixyl 3000 which is a major wrinkle fighting ingredient. After using this lotion my face feels really soft and it doesn't break out my acne prone skin which is a plus!I'll use it instead of my regular foundation and the tint gives my face a nice glow. It does have a slight scent that goes away after a few minutes.So if you want a long lasting face tan this isn't going to give you one. But, if you want something good for your skin this is it!

This works great. I am very fair skinned, with large pores, and I break out easily; a self tanning nightmare! This did not visibly clog my pores, nor did it break me out, and everything breaks me out! The tan looked natural, not orange in the least. Because I am so fair, one day's application is all I needed; it lasted for about a week, maybe a little less. I will definitely use it again. So far, this is the best face self-tanner that I have tried.

The color is a very dark brown, but goes on sheer. You can barely tell it's on. Not sticky, doesn't smell bad. It looked a little streaky when I put it on at night, but when I washed it off in the morning I had an even, very light tan. I have very sensitive skin and was worried about it giving me a breakout, but my skin has been great. I love this product!

I don't know why, but it's not working on my face. I exfoliated before my first use, I put it on after I was dry from my shower, I put it on just before getting in bed for sleep after letting it dry, I slept on my back and I used it for three strait days with no change... The Flawless version tanned my legs and arms, but my face is still white. The second night I put it on darker, but my face is still pale when I wash it off. What's up? Am I missing something?
