Was in the UK for three weeks and had to carry it almost every day. Fit perfectly in the side of my backpack even though it is a little bit thicker than the regular umbrellas. Auto open worked perfectly every time. Contracting it worked well also but was a little bit of a bother to collapse it. Found that by just turning it upside down on the ground and pushing on it did the trick.

first use - the umbrella would not stay open. after several attempts to keep it open, i tried to close it - wouldn't close. carried it around the ruins of Pompeii, Italy - closed but not able to fold it down to put it into the bag. 104 degrees and walking on rocks - tossed it in the trash. Later called Amazon only to be told that they couldn't do anything because I no longer had the umbrella. Apparently, i should have lugged around the broken umbrella in the 104 temperatures for the duration of the 4 hour tour and then carried it another 30 minutes back to the bus. disgusted with the product and amazon customer service.

So far I love this umbrella it fits in my COACH bag and purses easily.I take this umbrella every day.I would recommend this product to family and friends.

Nice and small umbrella but I returned it because I didn’t like the handle. It was short and stubby and felt like I couldn’t get my hand around it properly so I returned it and bought a Tote brand instead.

I've used this umbrella only a handful of times since I got in because it's just not sturdy. It opens easily, but it doesn't close very well. The "arms" don't seem to want to close back down compactly. I feel like I have to force them closed in order to wrap the velcro closure around it and secure it.

This umbrella is very hard to close. I've had mine for 2 months and it has broke.Finding a link to AshleyRiver for a replacement is like a needle in a hay stack. Good luck with this item

It broke after 2 or 3 times that I used umbrella. I bought two umbrellas last June 14 and I cannot return because of the 30-day policy.

Really nice umbrella but it is not mini at all. It is full size. I got the one with clouds on inside. This is hard to close once open really have to pull it.
