Conditions my fretboards well
I use it maybe once a year to condition my rosewood fretboards and seems to work. I don't use more than a small drop per fret, and almost never have to deal with excess.

Bore Oil for woodwind instruments/Bagpipes
I play the Highland Bagpipes and there is nothing better for the African Blackwood than Bore Oil. It soaks deep into the wood and its affects last and protect for a long time. Living in the arid western U.S. a set of bagpipes need to be kept oiled to prevent cracking. Bore oil is great for any decorative wood items you may have. I have a Milo carved bowl from Hawaii that looks great after a little bore oil. A little goes a long way.

Rapid delivery of Good product
I believe, especially in Winter when the humidity drops low, in keeping my clarinets lightly oiled with bore oil. I've always used bore oil and like the mellow tone my clarinets produce. I've used LeBlanc bore oil for decades but it is no longer available. This was as close a substitute as I could fine. I'm quite pleased. It soaks into the wood quickly and does not pool. No petroleum smell, nothing sticky or rancid, etc. I was pleased!

Bore Oil
Be advised that this product is petroleum distillate! It's better purpose IMO is for machinery not musical instruments. Bore oil is so named for its use in drilling (boring) into hard surfaces in order to disperse heat, as heat and its resulting expansion properties may destroy the object bored or otherwise fall to produce the desired tolerances of the bore. Although natural oils have undesirable side effects such as oxidation leaving a sticky buildup or coating over time - IMHO natural oil such as almond is better alternative for musical instruments.

A standard for woodwind instruments
This product has been used for centuries, I am sure, on people's wood wind instruments which need conditioning so they won't dry out. I bought it to use on my bagpipes. The drones get moist then they dry out, and also the blow stock and the chanter. After I condition them (you need to use a pipe cleaning tool with a thin fuzzy top) they sound beautiful, and thankful, quite literally.
