Love my new Light!
A simple and sturdy light fixture. I was a bit wary because I have a pretty huge tank with a pretty heft aquatic environment that I'm working with. The unit has pleased me so far after 2 weeks of use. Its quiet and the light output is fully sufficient for my needs. Not to mention the fixture is slim and sleek, which adds to its appeal. Best priced aquarium light I've purchased thus far online.

Good light even in a tall tank.
First light arrived DOA but when I received my replacement, it lit up my freshwater aquarium beautifully. I didn't realize how low my existing light was until I got this unit. It's on a 44 gallon tall hexagonal tank and it lights all the way to the bottom. My plants should thrive on this one. Remote features aren't exactly intuitive but it's a good solid light.

LEDs arent bad but the remote is terrible
LEDs arent bad but the remote is terrible....barely works and its the only way to turn on or operate the system. No instructions either. BUT its cheap and it looks decent. Buy at your own risk.

If anybody knows a way around the remote, I need this info. I'll happily edit my review if so.
I truly regret this purchase. It should be clearly stated in the description that THIS DOES NOT WORK WITH A TIMER. It can only be turned on with the remote and will not come on automatically if your system is plugged into a timer. This was obviously designed by someone with no experience in the hobby. On top of that, if the remote is lost or broken (gets wet?), then you're truly fk'd.

Waste of money
Terrible design and performance from this light. It only turns on 5% of the time with it's horrible wireless receptor wire and remote control.
