Digital Thermometer with 10 ft Wet/Dry Temperature Probe

Great product. Works perfectly. I cut the cord and added 20' between the ends. Used heat shrink tubing to seal it up. Ran it from my pool strainer to my porch. I moundted the guage just outside my sliding door. Now its super easy finding out the pool temp.

I was planning to use the probe in the crawl space of my house to remotely monitor temperature down there. In the winter when it's 30 or 40 below, it's important to know if the plumbing is at risk of freezing so I know when to turn on the heat tapes and auxiliary heater.Unfortunately, I didn't heed the other reviewers comments about the accuracy of this thermometer. Testing against another device that I know is accurate, this one consistently reads 4.8 degrees higher. My application doesn't require precise readings, so I will probably go ahead and install it. Hopefully I won't regret ignoring the other reviewers comments that the thing only works for a couple months and then quits.If you want a remote thermometer that is accurate, this probably isn't the one for you.Addendum: It stopped working within a year.

I own a dozen or so of these. I use them in Amphibian Tanks. They are never 100% accurate, they are usually off by 5 Dec +/-. As long as you know this you will be ok.

Great little temp sensor, I used it to monitor air intake temps when testing different locations on the car. Works well and responds reasonably quickly and seems fairly accurate.You can't see it at night which is sort of a downside but it's also nice to be able to leave it on all the time without any real distraction.

Reads 5 degrees high at 32F. It is pretty close at 70F. It will probably read 5 degrees low at 110F.Not close enough to predict freezing road conditions, unfortunately.

there is no screen clutter, programming, or finicky wireless sensors to cope with, only the temperature is displayed. Surprised it came as a panel-mount unit, not sure if that was spec'd or not. In any event, it would have been nice to have something in the box indicating the dimensions of the cutout that would be needed. No owners manual, no phone number, no anything in the box except the unit. Put some info in there and I give you 5 stars.

Works great. I just want to know about how cold it is outside. I'm not a scientist.

Excellent product. Able to maneuver it into a wall to get temperature readings in the winter when I was having a problem with a pipe freezing in the wall. Nice long cord also.
