I bought these because my plants were situated in a low lit area. I've also wired LED strip lights in the past from the hardware store.Set-up: if you are looking for a plug and play product this is definitely a good one. However the arms on the lights are a bit weak and it can be difficult to keep the lights at exactly the position you want.Functionality: the lights are bright. My plants have grow very well with them. The timer is a bit pointless since it only turns off and you have to turn it on again on your own. At this point I've just resorted to keeping them on all the time.Price: if you are a bit of a diy'er like me this product is definitely overpriced. You can buy a strip roll with 10x the LED lights for half the price of this if you are willing to do a bit of wire work yourself. However the casing, clamp, and switch on this may be more important to you, in which case it is a decent buy.

My plants are just doing kind of OK. I started a bunch of seed at the same time. The seedlings that sit on the front porch are doing far better than the seedlings that are under the grow light. Yes, the seedlings under the grow light are doing better than if they had no light, or normal indoor lighting... but not much better. This is a good band-aid until you can get your plants outside, but I don't see this as a solution to grow to full maturity.

I love how this light has a USB or a traditional outlet plug. I can place it most anywhere. These are great for houses without much natural light or window space. My seedlings are loving the different types of light available. The gooseneck is great for bending the lamps to obtain optimal light for the different growth stages!

Seems like it works. The light covers a large area. I like the early growth light, so more options than just seed starting. Have to have something to clamp it to, though. Impossible to tell if the timer option is on. Would have appreciated more instructions for use.

I used this lamp everyday for a few months before it completely stopped working and wouldn't turn on anymore. Before that, it had seemed like it possibly had some kind of short in the cord somewhere. If the cord got moved a certain way while it was turned on, the lights would flicker or turn off completely. Never could figure out the timer settings either, so I never really ended up using it. Just had to turn it off and on every day. Definitely going to have to do more research and be a lot more picky next time.

I purchased two of these lights at the end of July 2019, and both of them stopped working within March and May 2020. They didn't even last an entire year. I used them during daylight hours throughout the winter for my succulents and cacti, and the light helped keep them alive in the 4 months of rain/darkness we had here in the PNW. Like literally no sun, my window and outdoor plants almost didn't make it that is how dark this winter was. I used them in a small space on a plant shelf and that was enough light for the plants, but if you have a bigger plant or space these may not be best. I would honestly give them a much better review if they hadn't crapped out so fast. Looking at other reviews I see a few other people had the same issue.

I’ve had the grow light since July 2019, it worked well and was useful while it worked but it just died today... there is power going to it but light won’t turn on anymore. I am not sure if it needs to change bulb. If the bulb costs less than buying a new one, the I’d consider that if I can find the bulb sold separately.

this light is a waste of time , a fake make believe light that does nothing, i have purchased the single head red and blue lights and they really do work, but this light does absolutely NOTHING .. buy the single head light red and blue and don't waste your money on this fake piece of garbage that does NOTHING!!..
