Q: Can you please tell how the 2 x end caps are fitted , the ones that cover the screws ?

They are put onto the bar prior to fitting then just pushed into place.

Q: Could you please send measurement from top to bottom i.e. from 3m line to 40 cms line in picture?

My rail is installed as photo and from top to bottom of round fixings it measures 19 cm (measuring straight down.

Q: Is this type left or right handed

You can use it right or left handed - excellent rail handle

Q: What size masonry drill bit needed please ?

I fitted this to a stud wall and didn't trust any plaster board fixing and went all the way through the wall and used threaded bars about 8 mm thick and fitted a steel plate on the other side luckily behind a buit in fridge. there is no way it will ever come loose.
