This is the national tree of Cuba. The blossoms repeat throughout the year and they are white, tan, or yellow and they develop pinkish streaks. The blossoms change depending on what stage of maturity they are in. The fruits and flowers are very popular with birds and bats. In Christianity, this tree is used in Palm Sunday
