Great item and easy to read

Functional, easy to read, very flexible, I just wish there was a 4”W x 18”L that came in a set.

As an artist, I bought these mainly as a way to draw protective borders and grids before I began an art project. I love the transparency and grids printed on the rulers to make sure I have accuracy in my measurements. For what they are *plastic*, they are sturdy and will last a long time. They arrived in a reusable plastic sleeve. I think they are valuable for the money and I would gladly purchase again.

I am extremely pleased with these 4 rulers. They came double wrapped so they would not scratch against each other with juggling during the shipping process. Each individual ruler was wrapped and all were slide in an adequate plastic sleeve that can be used as a case. With this extra care one ruler came with a long scratch however I have used these type of rulers before and it will eventually be scratched from use. This is the why behind the four star rating.My one concern from the Amazon photo would be the width of the lines on the ruler…and am glad to report the lines for inch marks are easily recognized and the incremental lines are very thin.One recommendation would be to include one metric ruler in the group of rulers. Pelopy is a purchase I rate an excellent tool.

I am a ruler freak and am always looking for good easy to read rulers. My centering ruler was so worn out it was getting hard to read. I found this nice set of 'see through' rulers on Amazon and ordered them. The description mentioned the grid was inside the rulers, not on the surface, but I wasn't sure what that meant. My pictures show what this means, and I feel it makes a difference. The first picture shows a Wescott ruler and the Kearing companies rulers. In pictures 2 & 3, the Wescott ruler reveals shadow of the surface grid is apparent, and the Kearing grid has more precise lines. Picture 3 shows the Wescott rulers thicker applied surface grid in comparison to the Kearing's internal grid lines. The shadow of the Wescott grid is easily seen. My old worn out Wescott ruler grid lines were still intact, it was the clear plastic that had become translucent and all 'see through' rulers will eventually become translucent through heavy use. It might seem somewhat trivial to make a point of how the grid lines are printed, but I find the shadows annoying and will now have a strong bias towards the insde grid lines. Both rulers would get 5 ☆'s, with the Kearing getting a higher 5!

I love rulers that you can see through. It helps me lineup cuts so much better. That said they are not thick enough so it’s very easy to drag an X-Acto knife right over the ruler and into your hand. I have to concentrate and be focused when I use these things because it’s really easy to jump the track. If these rulers were a couple of millimeters thicker, it would be a game changer.

I ordered 2/15/20. What I received: 3 rulers that are 1" wide with lengths of 6", 12", and 15"; and one ruler that is 2" wide and 12" long. All four of these rulers are divided into 1/8" increments both lengthwise and widthwise. They are clear with red markings. They are thin and flexible. (What I wish I could buy is a 9" ruler that is 1" wide which would be so handy for drawing lines across paper 8.5" wide.) (Note that these rulers are exactly 6" and 12" and 15" long; they do not have any extra space at either of the ends.) Brand name is "Kearing" or "Shanghai Kearing Stationery Co., Ltd. The ruler 2x12 is B-70 Sandwich Line. The ruler 1x15 is B-80, does not say sandwich line but does appear to be that type . The ruler 1x12 is B-60 Sandwich Line. The ruler 1x6 says B-50 Sandwich Line. (Per google search results, apparently "sandwich line" rulers have their markings embedded in the material rather than on top of the material; therefore, the lines won't wear off or rub off.)
