My favourite tarot deck
The Gilded Tarot by Ciro Marchetti is my favourite tarot deck and I bought my first set of it back in 2006. The graphics on each card really are beautiful and having seen others that are digitally produced, I've found many flat and just lacking something but not these. They're alive and convey so much and even after 11 years they don't disappoint. Size-wise they are not the large ones so easier to hold and shuffle and the card quality is good - my first set still has no corner separation after a lot of use. The book that comes with them though small(ish), offers valuable insights into the symbolism contained on each card and also some good interpretations. In 2006 I was a complete novice to the tarot and this deck was my first learning tool so for beginners I can highly recommend it and for experienced tarot readers I would recommend too because there is always something new to learn and this deck keeps giving, guiding and inspiring.

Stunningly beautiful and inspirational cards
This is a truly beautiful and inspirational deck. Ciro Marchetti's art is immaculate and thought provoking throughout the deck. The cards themselves are substantial and not flimsy at all. The book (I bought the boxset) is very informative for novice tarot readers and experienced alike. Explaining the artwork is half the battle to using the deck but, as it's based on most beginner's decks - Rider Waite - it's not too difficult to transition from one to the other.I have a fair few decks, some bought simply for the stunning images on the cards. Not all have worked well for me, sadly, but this one does. A good investment and just for flicking through them, getting to know the cards, is a pleasure in itself.

It says GILDED , but it’s not
I am always reading description before to buy a product and don’t understand how you can sell something where on the cover says “GILDED”, but in a reality it’s not. I was excited to receive this deck , as I love all my decks. But such a small thing can ruin all the excitement . I removed the film from the deck, as thought maybe it’s gilded inside, but it’s not. And a quality of cards is really poor. Would love to send it back.

Do not waste money on these hyped up cards.
Colourful pictures which lack any coherence. This must be the worst deck I have ever bought. Small, flimsy, badly printed and badly cut - the edges are textured. I wish I had seen some of the hidden bad reviews. I wouldn’t have wasted my money. The printing is so bad that it is textured like orange peal on the backs. And NOT A SCRAP OF GILDING!!! Should be renamed the Grey Tarot after the colour the textured edges appear. Holding these is like holding sandpaper. And to think I was looking forward to receiving these.

Disappointed. No gold gild in sight.
This is my favourite illustrated pictorial view of each cards meaning.....however there is nothing "gilded" or sparkly about this deck. It's just gold colour including in a coloured print..it's not the gold overlay I was expecting.I also just wanted the deck not the paperback...so I was assuming as there is an option to purchase one or the other that would keep the price down.
