DellStylus Active Pen PN557W for Latitude 5285, 5289, 7285, 7389, 7390, 5290 2-in-1s

Great pen! This may be my 4th pen lol. This pen works for both my LG V60 phone with the dual screen and my HP 2 and 1 Laptop. As a photo retoucher I wasn't sure what to do outside of Samsung Galaxy and Motorola. But after mad searching I found this pen. I need something accurate to edit on the run when I don't feel like lugging my laptop around.

Nice, good quality, nice packaging. However, I had to find some very clear and specific instructions online to figure out how to install the batteries. It takes one battery that is a bit smaller than a triple A battery, and then also takes two of the little small, round watch type batteries. It was quite confusing and anything but easy!

It's not the stylus' fault. This is sort of a review of the Dell XPS14 that I bought the stylus for.This stylus (or any other stylus) won't work with a Dell XPS14 9440. Although the XPS has a touch screen, no stylus (except those old-fashioned kind that emulate a finger tip-like eraser) will work on the screen. I didn't even know they made screens like that anymore!

For compatible devices works nice and lovely, just exactly as described, You could control and customize your buttons with own preferences, it's just ease of use

It’s a great stylus, works as it’s suppose to. Comes with a AAA battery plus two very small ones that was tedious to install. The battery was at 89% when I first started using it so I’ll update on the battery life.Sensitivity is great too

Pen is great but was not compatible with my device.

I bought the Dell OEM pen hoping to avoid compatibility issues with an aftermarket pen. I'm extremely disappointed with this decision. Despite the fact that both the Dell Website and the Vendor's page on Amazon says that this pen is the right pen for my Dell 2 in 1. IT constantly disconnects/shuts down. Sometimes tapping the screen multiple times will wake it back up again, sometimes I have to unscrew the battery cap to reset the pen. I Googled the problem and it is pretty widespread. There were a lot of suggestions but no guaranteed fixes. BTW I have over 30 years IT experience so it's not user error. I tried new batteries, installing the Dell Pen Controll app, shutting down the BT portion. Nothing gave a permanent fix.I bought the 3rd party pen, which apparently is a Huawei OEM and so far, it's working flawlessly.I gave the pen 2 stars because the build quality and feel are excellent. I actually prefer the way the Dell pen writes (when it writes). But it frequently dies mid-note. So, it's pretty much useless to me.I'm returning it.
