Leather Checkbook Cover - Brown - Soft, Smooth Leather Checkbook Cover w/RFID Blocking Lining, ID Window, Cards Slots, & Pen Holder

Great product! Some reviews were negative due to pen size holder but I do not find that to be an issue at all. I attached a photo showing w my pen. Nice quality & love the green.

This was ordered on May 19 lat in the evening. It arrived in the mail on May 21, 2016. Very fast! At this price I was not expecting RFID blocking. That was not in the listing, but the label/card that came with the checkbook cover states "This product contains advanced RFID blocking technology."The checkbook cover looks clean and well made with close, even, neat stitching all around. The interior is fabric lined. It arrived sealed in a plastic cover and wrapped in tissue paper. It has that pleasant scent of brand new leather shoes. There is none of the mustiness or mildew that has been commented upon with other inexpensive leather checkbook covers.The checkbook cover has an exterior full length pocket that is open along the hinged fold. The interior has five credit card sized pockets, one with a transparent plastic cover suitable for a driver's license or ID. There are pockets on both sides of the interior that easily fit my checks and check register. The checkbook side has a plastic flap to use with duplicate ("carbon copy") checks. That side also has a slot for using side tear checks. I do not plan to use the pen holder feature to carry a pen or to hold the checkbook cover closed, but one of those loops folded flat does a nice job holding my place in the check register.I will probably order more of these soon and use them to retire a couple of older leather checkbook covers.

Pretty nice product. Quality of leather is very good, maybe garment quality, no blotches or scars and supple. Stitching is good, clean, uniform.Any flaw or complaint lies only in the advertising and description of the product you think you're buying.I wanted a thin checkbook holder but I also liked the cardholder slots on my prior cover better than just a bare-bones checkbook and checks register holder.This product is about 6 layers of leather plus acetate fabric linings THICK, whereas a simpler cover is maybe 4 layers thick. You will notice the difference if you tend to put it in your back pocket and sit on it.But- those extra pockets and card holding slots are useful and well placed. The generous size /length fits the checks and register easily without excess length.The thickness of this cover is not a flaw or mistake. It is simply a feature of this cover that is not clearly identified in it's description.I was expecting a slightly thinner cover but the couple extra layers of leather and fabric are not deal-breakers. I'm going to keep it.The extra pockets will probably be handy for carrying those extra cards and back-up currency, and list of birthdays, and password cheatsheet and a very old photo I like to carry.So- 4 stars; good quality and design but not what I expected from the description. It's a bit thicker than I prefer.I am going to keep it.

This is a beautiful checkbook, and I like the fact that this company makes leather wallets in many different colors. I bought five different ones for different accounts. The color is consistent throughout, and the leather feels durable. Yet it has a significant fatal flaw. It is too small. The actual design of the wallet is nice, but everything is functionally too small. The inside pockets are too small to put more than a few bills in. Add a checkbook, and the wallet is full. Put a credit card in each of the slots, and the fit becomes very tight. Do all three — checkbook, money and cards—and it is nearly impossible. The picture shows a pen inside the checkbook. There are actually two pen straps. Neither works. No regular pen I have fits in the pen slots. Great idea, beautiful design and color. But did anyone making this checkbook actually try using it?

This is a great find and I highly recommend. Beautiful quality. I ordered the black with rich brown interior — an elegant combination. The leather is soft, but not stiff or flimsy, and feels good in your hand. It holds both checks and has five slots for cards. The check holder has a plastic flap for those who use duplicate type checks. There's an outside pocket that can hold cash or receipts. An entire wallet for minimalists. I would buy others as gifts.

Soft Supple leather a little darker than photographed but still a rich purple color. No irregularities in stitching or craftsmanship. The cover has 4 slots for cards and one for your ID card (which is what I was specifically looking for in a check book cover). Sometimes the ID slot is tight and hard to get your card out. This cover has a slot for you thumb in the center so you can push the ID card out easily. The 4 slots are tight enough to hold one card securely, no way the cards would accidently slip out. I have a tendency to put two cards in each slot. The new cover is too tight for that right now but the nautral leather would probably stretch out in time if that is your preference. Surprisingly the cover also has 3 slots for bills. One behind the cards, one behind the checkbook (separate from the checkbook slot) and one on the outside. It has two pen holders, (one on each side of the flap) too small for my Pilot gel but fine with a papermate. I use carbon checks so I particularly like the soft flexibility and apparent durability of the check separation flap. I definitely recommend this check book cover.

I would really give this a 3.5, but I don't have that option. Physically, it is everything I expected. Soft leather, perfect color and my checks fit perfectly, but one of the main reasons I chose this checkbook was because of the pen holder that also keeps the checkbook closed. This is not practical. It is so difficult to get a small normal sized pen in both the slots that it takes several minutes to do. Very ineffective. So if you're looking to use the pen slot as a closure, don't count on this one. Otherwise, very nice quality and good color.
