Expected more, not worth the price
I have to say I am disappointed with this unit. I have a WD Live device, but unfortunately it does not support x265 video formats, so I had to look for something more modern. The Beelink is an Android device serving as a media center; there are many other Android devices out there. There is a video review among the reviews here that does a good job going over the pros, so my review will focus on the cons of this product:CONS:- Skype does not work with a camera. I tried more than one camera with several configurations. As soon as someone answers, the call drops. Every time. I searched everywhere for a solution, and asked a friend to search too. No deal. I am on the latest firmware, so it's not a version issue. If you want to buy this to Skype from your TV, forget it. (PS: if you have a solution, please comment and let me know)- Netflix looks terrible. Netflix for Android does not offer Full HD (I believe it's 720p max) and the image flickers all the time. Impossible to watch anything on Netflix without getting a headache.- The HDMI input is useless. I bought this because my TV only has 2 HDMI inputs, so when I want to use my Playstation, I have to switch the cables. With this unit, I could connect the PS as the HDMI input, and just use this to play, right? Wrong. It trims the image, zooms it out and it looks terrible. No way to use it like this. Also, no possible configuration to change it.- Documentation? Manufacturer's web site? Forget it. Searching online for Beelink yields nothing useful. But don't take my word for it: just try searching for "beelink android skype configuration" and see if anything useful comes out of it. Now repeat for any other problem you might have.- The remote control will test your patience. I know I can plug a keyboard and a mouse, but I'm old school and I don't want to see computer hardware in my living room. Also, they say there is an Android app that you can use for remote, but I was never able to find it (again, if you know it, please comment and let me know). The infrared radius must be about 15 degrees or something (meaning, you have to be right in front of the device, otherwise it won't work). The UI is nice, but the response time is also frustrating. To sum up, I had 4 goals for this device: 1) Watch x265 videos 2) Use Skype with TV 3) Input Playstation and 4) Netflix. It failed on 3 out of the 4, so there is no way I can give it a good review. Unfortunately, Android does not seem to be ready to be the media center... too many issues.

Disappointing. But still has potential
The device should be great but it won't play any Google play movies or Amazon or Hbo go, Starz, etc. Must be DRM, maybe because the device is rooted? The apps will do sound but never display video. But my other Android box works without the pass thru so maybe the hdmi pass thru kills it. :-/ either way, it's disappointing. Plus I'd live to upgrade the OS to 5.0 or 5.1. Very minimal support from the manufacturer. The 4k video I downloaded from the web looked beautiful and there was no stutter.

Happy customer one year in. Great box
After a year of reviewing this box I have to say it's a top notch box worth every penny. Although no updates to speak of I get a error message every time I try and my twc app doesn't work ether .I have few tb hard drive that work without a hitch. I take this box every where I stay never stay over night without it .I leave it on most times haven't had any issues with that not true with others.works with xbox and ps3 controllers for my games . Great performance, Solid Device with a nice firmware integration!!
Great Android TV BoxCheck my Full Video Review Herehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4bdRN_4nfmwBenchmarked using Geekbench 3, Antuntu, SpeedTest. 3D Mark and Epic Citadel.Played 1080P and 4K videos on XBMC / KODI and tested on games Cars, Despicable Me, Beach Buggy, Asphalt 8 and GT Racing 2 which all worked great. Also mirrored my Iphone, Ipad and Imac to this Android TV Box.The only downside is that altough it has HDMI IN witch is great it doesnt bring any built in app that is able to record whatever we want from the input, other than that great performance.
