Storm Proof 2-Gang Weatherproof Outdoor Switched Socket Double Pole WP036

We purchased this to update an old single socket that was in our garden when we moved in. It has made a huge difference. We usually have our caravan plugged in to the power but had to unplug it to use the jet wash etc... My hubby said it was easy to install. It took him about 20 minutes. I would say he's a very competent DIYer. It also looks good too. I can't comment on the weather proof side of it because the weather has been sunny since it was installed.

I was initially (and incorrectly) suspicious about the low price of this outdoor socket.Why was it half the price of seemingly identical units?Well, after buying and installing the unit, I can honestly say it is perfect, and I would not hesitate to recommend it!Although I haven't had it installed for very long, I am confident it is built to last, and will be fully waterproof throughout its' life.

This is a 4 star based on price and quality. I have fitted quite a few over the years and this is certainly okay and is good value but for me the build quality is certainly not as good as some I have used (Albeit they have been substantially more.Please do not let me put you off as i would buy again but if you want the very best these are not.

Very easy to install, simple replacement for an existing one.Caution : did not come with any 22mm gland to waterproof the cable entry, luckily I had some.Make sure you order some at the same time, they're cheap enough

Bought 2 to provide hard wired power cable from my house to summerhouse. Installed armoured cable between two boxes. Good, weatherproof sturdy boxes, thought they looked a bit small when they arrived but are perfect, any bigger would have looked out of place. Good value product.

Easy to install although the seal fell out and had to be relocated which was a bit fiddly. Needs to be located fairly high to be able to see where the plug fits suggest sill height.

Good quality plug. Easy to fit and with a good seal. This is being used in an enclosed area so not exposed so can’t comment on how waterproof it is but pretty sure it will be fine.

This is my third out door waterproof socket and my other two have a timer built in which are great for my garden lights and Christmas lights . Easy to fit and works fine will recommend them for the money
