Couldn't figure out why my hair was knotted, then I saw Black hunk of plastic ( I guess ) on iron and in my hair. Nothing helped,, it had to be cut out and scraped off iron after cooling. Plugged in again and same thing. I will not attempt this again. I had to cut out a clump of my hair!!! Sorry there is another clump in the back my Son is cutting it out now, I am so upset!!!! I have fine hair in a short bob and need it curled under. This creates the curl in one pass, hair feels silky.

I have had this straightener before but the outlet prongs completely broke off in the outlet, so weird. I ordered another one and now it shuts off every two seconds and won’t stay hot. Luckily it’s under warranty after I jump through several hoops to get it replaced.

I have used a flat iron for many years with no problem. I purchased this particular flat iron because of the size and beveled edges. I wanted it to use when styling my hair in beach wave/curled styles. This iron has actually fried my hair and caused it to break off. It is probably a defect with my particular iron....however at the lowest temperature available "145" this iron is extremely hot and deceiving. I compared it to my Chi flat iron that I have used for years and at 145 it feels hotter than my Chi set at 300 to 330.

This only lasted 8 months and it shorted out. Supposed to have a one year manufacturer's warranty

For starters, I am only leaving this review as I was prompted by the seller to do so. Since receiving the product I have returned it as I had ordered it in the black and received pink. Seeing as this was a minor issue, I tried the iron regardless and genuinely was not impressed with the quality. I have plenty of experience using NuMe products and have never been disappointed with their quality or performance. This straightening iron on the other hand, felt cheap in quality and took far too long (probably about five minutes) to heat up- especially for a NuMe product with titanium plates, as titanium heats extremely quickly. Once it would reach the correct temperature, it would work for several seconds before it needed to re-heat back up again. Overall, I was frustrated with the both the seller and the quality of the iron and wouldn't recommend purchasing as it is not worth the money. Buy from NuMe themselves and you will get the great quality you pay for.

Very quickly it gets very hot and works better than any average flat iron. Leaves hair with a nice shine. Impressed and thankful it was worth the money.
