Great Value, but...
This was the best price for a replacement lead-acid battery, which I am forced to use as a backup for my Verizon Fios system. It's deplorable that we have to use such batteries, and be responsible for the disposal of the old ones. You would think that, considering the level of available technology, the service providers - Verizon, ATT, Cablevision, etc. - would use better, safer, batteries.I think the service providers should be responsible for the replacement, and disposal, of these batteries, at no additional cost and inconvenience to us, the users who are already paying too much for their service.

Got my moneys worth and still going strong.
I bought this for my FIOS system in Jan 2012 from "Paragon Inc" and am just writing the review now in Sept 2015. The battery is still working fine but, just for those who may not check such things, my FIOS system has beeped at us twice this year but only due to a loose battery connection. You should pull the FIOS connector and the battery terminal connectors off/on a couple times to ensure things are clean and tight before assuming you need a new battery.UPDATE Nov 2017 : I've found that the beeping returns more and more frequently as the FIOS unit ages but it has been correctable each time by reattaching both the terminal connectors AND the connector which goes into the FIOS box. Friends and family have all experienced this and every single one of them was able to keep the same battery for a long time just by following these steps. However I am back to buy a new battery since it just started beeping again today but when I began to play with the connectors I found that the battery was very hot so it does appear that this particular battery has finally reach end of life. Also note that I was told in the past year or so by a FIOS Rep that we should be able to call FIOS and ask them to remotely DISABLE the battery warning beeping permanently. Of course this doesnt help if you actually rely on the battery during power outages to power your phone for a few hours and you didnt know the battery died. We do not so I am tempted to just have this disabled and forgo any battery at all. I also expect to have a new FIOS box installed (required to get the faster speeds above 50) in about 6 months when my current contract expires.

Update
I bought this last fall. It had been doing fine until I lost power the other day.My back-up unit light then indicated that I needed a new battery. I was not lamused, as I expected as much life from it as I received from the original. Before hitting the order button for a replacement I Googled and found this:Do this from your Battery Backup Unit (BBU):1. Please go to the smaller beige box and follow its power cable to the 3-prong power outlet.2. Disconnect the power cable from the outlet, you may hear a beep.3. Go to the larger beige box, remove the battery panel to reveal the black battery. Follow the black/red leads until you get to a plastic coupler that hooks into the BBU.4. Once disconnected, all lights on the larger box will be off.5. Let it sit for 1 minute then reconnect the battery and plug the power cable back in.It seems to work. So, perhaps the product is notj the problem. Give this a try before you spring for a replacement or think the vendor sells inferior batteries.UPDATE:Soon after this was written the battery failed. Stick with an OEM.

Replacement Battery for FIOS Unit
This (was?) is a replacement battery for the FIOS telephone/internet receiver unit installed in my home. The unit started to beep and a red light appeared. When I went online to determine what the red light was all about I was informed that occasionally the battery needs replacing, and the FIOS subscriber is responsible to replace it.After installing the new battery the beeping stopped and the red light went out, so I presumed that my diagnoses of a failed battery was correct.

Perfect fit for my Verizon FIOS needs...also works perfectly for my Brinks/ADT alarm system backup
When my Verizon FIOS power supply started beeping, I discovered the OEM battery needed replacing. I priced these replacement batteries at Verizon (gasp!) and for half of Verizon's price, I found this one. It is a perfect fit for my Verizon FIOS power supply unit...with no more irritating beeping from that Verizon unit.UPDATE: I recently switched my cable provider from Verizon/Frontier FIOS to another company who doesn't use the router/power unit in which this battery was located. I thought I had a "white elephant" per this battery at that time. However, my ADT alarm system started sending me messages (and phone calls from ADT at 3:00 AM) that its backup battery had expired. I researched the requirements and found that this wonderful battery is an excellent replacement for my ADT (originally, a Brinks alarm pad) system! It fit perfectly into the alarm system box and is now doing its job as the alarm system's backup power source. So...here's another use for this affordable battery!

Not quite as advertised
The title seems to indicate that it is a GS Portalac PX12072 battery. It is not. The one I received was a Rhino SLA7-12 which has slightly small terminals and a slightly lower aH (7 versus 7.2) rating than the Portalac I was replacing in my FIOS equipment. It appears to work, so I don't think there is a problem, but I wish the title had given me a more accurate idea of what I was ordering.

Exact Dimensional Replacement for Portalac PX12072 Battery
I installed the UB1270 replacement battery in my Verizon FIOS Battery compartment and all is working good. The published dimensions for the product on this page has one error. The published info is 5.9" (W) x 2.5" (D) x 3.9" (H)The actual dimensions for the UB1270 replacement and my original Portalac Battery are5.9" (W) x 2.5" (D) x 3.74" (H)I also purchased 1 pair of the "F1 female" to "F2 male" battery terminal adapters since the original battery has "F2" male terminals and the UB1270 battery has "F1" male terminals.F1 Terminals = 3/16" (0.187", 4.8mm) wideF2 Terminals = 1/4" (0.25", 6.35mm) wideAs one reviewer commented, the terminal adapters aren't necessary since most battery cables/connectors will work with F1/F2 terminals, although the sizes are slightly different.
