In all fairness the product did lower the PH from 9 to 7 as represented, BUT my fish hated the taste / irritation and caused my 20 year old 2' long $4000 prize Koi to jump out of my pond to the patio deck....almost to his death. My Chihuahua barked to alert me and I was able to save my Koi's life, love my little girl. In my pond's life of over 20 years I have never had a jumping koi...not once. The remedy was two 50% water changes to remove PH Down from my pond.Use product at your own risk....

This stuff is in powder form, and only requires 2 Tablespoons to accomplish what a 1/2 cup of any liquid PH down product had been providing me. Being only 16 oz for a bottle of similar price, the liquid PH down would produce about 4 treatments and I was blazing through bottles faster than I could buy them. I inadvertently used lots of lime stone in my pond and so, my PH is naturally rising about 3/10ths of point per day due to leaching of lime. After the algae coating is established, I expect this will diminish, but in the mean time, this stuff will give about 2 weeks worth of PH help vs. the 3-4 days out of the similarly priced bottle. Also, mine isn't tinted blue as the description states.

I've been through three bottles of this stuff. The pond started at pH 8.7 and, after three bottles, it's still 8.7. This is a pond of about 800 gallons. I started with the recommended dose, which did nothing. The I tried double that. Nothing. Finally, I threw the rest of the bottle in. Nothing.Measurement is with a calibrated meter, confirmed with a standard pond test kit (new).Note that the contents of each bottle I received was a solid mass that had to be removed by chipping it away with a chisel. I don't know if that somehow impacted it's acidity

I get the same results in my aquaponics setup, pond and aquarium. Makes my PH fluctuates so much using this product. Once added to the water, the PH will drop but rises right back to its original high PH. I have added tsp after tsp and i get the same results.

I have a 650 gallon shallow pond with fish and plants. I added 2 Tablespoons per treatment (directions on the bottle is 2T per 500 gallons), on three consecutive days, 24 hours apart, The pH before the treatments was 8.5. The pH (24 hours after each treatment) dropped to 8.0, 7.75, and 7.5. I live in Southern California, and the current temperatures are in the high 80's (October).

Works extremely well BUT: Be careful when using with aquariums. This is powerful stuff made for ponds mostly. Use in very small amount over time for tanks. DO NOT use for rapid PH drops. This product will work over time, but if your overdose and get impatient: you will lose your fish from the drop. Read the instructions carefully and go lighter in dosage when used with aquariums.

This product didn't work for me. The Ph goes back up a day later. I'll take it down to 5.5, and it's back up to 7.5 or higher the next day. I can't handle it. Does anyone know of a good PH lower?

Brought our pond pH down very slightly, even when used several days in a row.
