I ordered this because I wanted to keep the neos under an awning and this has allowed me to mount the camera in a way to protect it from the rain. The ball head allows me to alter the position of the camera and the housing provides a way to easily access the camera. The mounting also is a standard mounting I have for camera equipment which will allow me to add extra attachments. It's been okay for the last few weeks and I think it will hold up well. Time will tell the effects of winter. Overall I'm very happy with it.The only downside I have is I wish I'd bought the white one as the summer heat this year (2019) did seem to really heat the plastic, although aesthetically I prefer the black one. Maybe a one of each pack would be an option?

If you have bought a Neos – and by gum they are good for the money – you might be thinking, as I did, that it would be great if you could use it outside which, it isn’t designed for.However, like most things today, someone in the Far East will always come up with a way to ‘accessorise’ what ever bit of kit you have bought with a solution (or not as in many cases).This is the perfect example. It means you can use your NEOS outside without making it go ‘bang,’ and at a fraction of the cost of a dedicated IP56 or 65 camera. Basically, for just over thirty quid you get a pretty good outdoor WiFi camera. What’s not to like?It’s well enough made for the money and the mount allows the Neos to be fitted in just about any position and then adjusted to suit. The cable is neatly routed through a small opening at the back maintaining the shower resistance.In use it will – and does – stop the camera from getting destroyed by rain. The faux cottage style roof ensures that it stays dry below it and works very well.Of course, it does not provide perfect water-proofing. This is to stop rain from damaging the camera and thus if you wash down with a hose or jet wash it will still allow water to get to the camera. My porch which is rendered is a magnet to spiders and thus I must wash down every few months to clear the old webs and other debris they leave behind, and I generally use a jet wash to do it. With this I bag the camera up first to ensure I don’t damage it.Overall a great solution to getting a cheap outside camera that works a treat.

I bought this to help protect a Neos camera that I'm using outside in my garden, and so far it's been great.I have my camera at floor level, quite close to the house. It does get some protection from the eaves above, but is still quite exposed to the elements. After several months outside I've had no damage to the camera, even with some pretty heavy rain storms.Personally I just used the housing, which clips on really easily. It still allows you to quickly access the base to get to the reset button and SD card slot, which is great as I like to check the SD card every week or so. The attachable arm feels a bit cheap, but I'm sure it would do an ok job if I actually needed to use it.

bought the Neos smart cam for indoor use then I saw this little cover it arrived next day took 5 mins to install and have up and running. so impressed with the smart cam and with this cover so you can install out doors will be ordering 2 more cams and 2 more covers its brilliant

Package is very small but contains it all. It would have been very useful to contain instructions because the flat panel that has the arrow, it isn't clear on how to actually slide the camera into it. I haven't yet tested the weather proofness but wi update. Feels sturdy and of a good build.UPDATE 04/02/2020I ordered 2 more and only received 1 today. Where is the other 1? So far so good! Made my Neos / Wyze camera waterproof for outside. The housing covers the 3 sides and just leaves the lens exposed. The bracket arm seems durable and holds into place well. I have 4 in total and all have survived a battering, winds, rain and even a nasty storm.

A cheap and cheerful cover but completely open at the bottom and front so it does not seem that weather proof; you just slot the Neos camera in and screw the fitting to your wall or facials. Supplies screws seem fine as does mount.Honestly doesn’t look great but have hidden it away in a corner under an eave so it isn’t that notable and should be protected from most rain anyway.

Been a couple of months and going well. Doesn't appear to offer a huge amount of protection so surprised and happy!
