Great re-pressing
This is a review of the vinyl pressing for those interested in knowing whether it is flat, quiet, etcAs of March 17, 2018, Amazon is shipping the 180-gram pressing with the hype sticker and obi strip on the jacket, and the lyrics sheet & mp3 download card inside. My copy is dead flat, perfectly centered, and very quiet. The sound quality is excellent. Some re-pressings of this album used the original stampers from 1997, with "KRS-269-B L-47874" in the dead wax. This one does not.

Powerful, Haunting
This album was my introduction to Elliott Smith and I have since acquired his entire collection. This album is still my favorite. To keep it brief, this is one of the most powerful albums I have ever had the pleasure of listening to. There is not a sub-par track on the entire album. If you are not familiar with Elliott Smith, you have missed out on one of the greatest singer/songwriters of our generation - this album is a good place to start.

Just genius
This is the fourth album of Elliott's that I've listened to, and it is maybe the best, or second-best. I listen to it over and over again, and I am very selective of music I can bear to listen to nowadays.

Scratches on arrival
A travesty indeed that Alameda has scratches and skips on the song. That was my favorite of this album.

Amazing, just amazing
Amazing, just amazing. Elliott Smith is one of my favorite musicians. Have an xo tattoo for his album xo and a figure 8/infinity one. Either/or is a groundbreaking album by him. And now I officially have it in it's most superior form. Great secure and weather protected packaging.

Do I need to say Brilliant!?
A classic! Elliot had the knack of hitting those notes and lyrics that play on and on in your head. I'm haunted(in a good way) by the high pitched whistle you hear throughout "Angeles" which is one of if not my very favorite song of his, and the simple beauty that comes through in "Between the Bars" keeps you wanting more. Unfortunately, we can only listen to what he left behind, but it's of the caliber that will never die.
