Great Plates
These are a trip. They are not thin like paper; they are like 2.5 mm thick. Not an issue. The weight is nice too. These look and feels just like paper plates. I don't treat them any differently than my normal dinner wear. I put them in the dishwasher all the time. They have been subject to all sorts of stuff that I thought would stain them and they come out of the dish washer like new. I have used them against the manufactures warning briefly in the microwave.People in my house always grab real paper plates. I can put the real paper plates under everything else and they will dig them out. Then they take the plates to the living room and they collapse and complain that their food is on the floor. They complain I buy cheap paper plates. Then I have to clean the carpet. I do buy cheap paper plates. I am not going to pay 12 cents apiece for paper plates. I get 600 plates for $15 at Costco when I did. This has mentally screwed them up. They now use these over paper plates!

These look exactly like paper plates!
These plates are awesome! They look exactly like real paper plates. The best part about them is the matte finish. A lot of the ones we've seen have a slight gloss or sheen which make them look like plastic or melamine. These are fully matte and are the same size so they look like actual paper plates. Everyone in the house gets them confused with the real paper plates. They are a trip! It would've been nice if they were microwaveable, but still worth getting for quick easy lunches that you'd normally throw on a paper plate (sandwich/chips, hotdog, hamburger, etc.) and not necessarily for reheating stuff. Easy to wash since they are so lightweight.

Looks exactly like paper plates!
We're on a quest to reduce our usage of paper and plastic. Many townships do not accept soiled paper of any kind for recycling. This not only solves the problem they're also fun to fool people with! lol They look exactly like paper plates but much sturdier. The only thing I am not totally pleased with is that the finish feels a bit chalky, not smooth. I don't allow the kids to use them for anything that I think might stain them (i.e. sloppy Joe sandwiches) because I'm not so sure they won't stain. Other than that, they're awesome! I do not put them in the dishwasher and they're not for the microwave.

Save a tree!
These plates are the most amazing fakes! They are identical to paper plates in color, style, texture and feel, but they are melamine. I love the irony--paper plates were originally designed to look like china, and now these sturdy plates are made to mimic paper. Mine have never stained, which is amazing as they feel like they are porous, and they can go in the dishwasher and microwave. Everyone is fooled by them the first time they see them, and you'll find you can use them in many situations. Get the red plastic glasses too--also reusable. Every meal feels like a picnic!

These are fun...
I got these for my wife, she wanted some casual dinnerware for summer cookouts, but didn't want actual disposable plates. What's funny about these plates is our guests think they are the classic paper plate, but are so surprised when they pick them up. Not sure why any of this matters, but it helps make the meal a little more memorable. These are good quality, thick and durable and clean up easy.

Been using for 10+ years now!
We love these plates! I originally ordered our first 2 sets back in 2013. Still going strong and still look new as the day we got them! Had to search my Amazon orders to find them again cause I want to add more to our collection! We get many compliments on them all the time.

Exactly what I expected
The plates are very sturdy and strong, and very easy to handwash, although I've yet to use them in a dishwasher. They are made of pretty strong material, and when dropped don't break. They're also lighter than you think they would be. The material has a somewhat funky texture, it's not entirely smooth like the fake Solo cups are, but the only time you're running your fingers over the plates is when your washing them so it's really a non-issue.If you're even looking at buying these, you must love the paper plate look, and these are exactly what you expect -- a hard ceramic plate that looks like paper. Pretty cheap, and somewhat of a conversation starter.

Plates that are fun?
These pages are the coolest things. The texture is similar to paper plates. They are the exact size of a paper plate. I have almost thrown them out. My husband says they creep him out because they are "weird". They are really cute and fun. Yes. They are fun. Paper plate on top in photo, melamine plate on bottom.
