Perfect
Great, love it. I got it for helping make holes for planting plants. Very useful. So far, it's still intact, has not broken. For anyone who hasn't use an electric drill before, you do have to be careful when drilling especially with this kind of auger. You'll be drilling into the ground where there may be obstacles like rocks and areas where the dirt is more compacted. The drill can snap back on you. I hold the drill between my legs to prevent injury to my hands. Thank you for a great product.

Right through Clay - Very happy! - 4.8 out 5.0
I would just like to say that this thing is awesome - I used it for digging under a sidewalk to add a pipe for water flow. It went right through the clay with no problem. My only issue with this is if you go to fast, it will bend the end of the tool. I fixed it easy but you want to use this on the lowest speed. Great Tool for the money, Also, the gloves that came with it are an added bonus. I didn't even notice that the right glove has claws. I haven't used them yet but interesting and cool

Does what it's supposed to: make a hole
Edit- mine didn't come with a cool set of claw gloves. Bummer.I got this auger bit in order to make planting bulbs and such easier on our property. And it is easier, thankfully.Other comments have it right when they say to be careful because it will snatch your wrist in a split second as soon as it catches on anything (anything can be a root, a clump of clay), so make sure you have your drill set on the lowest setting.I think a slightly girthier bit would be better in order to keep the hole from filling back in when you bring it back up out of the ground, but for the price, this is great and does exactly what it needs to do.

It's A WORK HORSE!
This auger gets the job DONE! I made the right decision when I bought this. I live in Middle TN, we have hard clay soil. Got this to plant St Augustine grass plugs, this worked beautifully. Made easy work of the soil. I also used it to dig up some large stone in the yard. You won't waste your money with this purchase.

Worked great!
Was drilling holes for fence posts. Worked great. Took me a few shots to figure it out (can't dig too deeply too quickly) and you have to pull dirt up quickly. But, once I got it going, it worked really well and fast!

Made my job possible.
I had to put in steel fence posts, but couldn't pound them down thru clay. The auger drilled thru the clay, making it easier to force the posts down where they belonged.

Works great planting small and medium sized holes.
This works great for planting seeds and small nursery plants. Saves time and labor when planting. Not just for small holes either. Now if they would just put in a root detector this would be perfect, because it does not do well when there are roots in planting hole. When a root is encountered, you will have to use the reverse to back out the drill bit.

Works great
I was surprised how fast and hard this thing digs. You better hold your drill with both hands.
