Most of the functional helmets available are so huge your head virtually swims in them, This one is tight I had to bend the metal out to get it on my head! My hat size is 7 & a half not a huge melon very average sized melon! But once I got done it fit great eyes lining up perfectly & the whole shebang!!!! I was also pleased to see that with the visor on it is able to pivot straight up without messing with the mounting pins!!! This one handed motion of lifting the visor to show your face as friend or foe was the origins of the military salute!!! I have a beautiful Great helm with a Knight Templar cross decoration of brass but it needs some augmentations to make it fit securely!!! This is one of my favorite helmet designs of all & I thank God my head is no bigger, because it fits perfectly for me!!! Those with a larger head may find it to small & with my chain mail coif I will still be able to wear this awesome hounskull pigface bascinet but its going to be a snug fit. Yes I was able to gain enough room by pulling outward & expanding to edges at the face but Steele is only forgiving to a point!! I got lucky if your hat size is larger than mine you might not be so lucky & I do feel very lucky as this is a well made helm & a great representative of its helmet class & period!!!

I was very exited for this helmet to arrive. It arrived quickly and in pretty fair condition ignoring the oiling typical for any armor. The craftsmanship of the helmet is fine not expecting much for less than $100. However, my only issue is that the helmet is very top heavy and a bit over sized. Other than that personal issue it is a pretty decent helmet just make sure to read the sizing and hope that it will fit you. Thank You!

If I could give it less than one star, I would. What you see in the picture is NOT what I received in the mail. I got instead some cheap, awful Indian made knockoff. Very deceptive.

Very nice replica, sans lining I wear a 7 3/4 hat size and am 6 foot tall, just fits.

This helmet is soo amazing its quality is out of this world and looks terrific, the price is awesome to!! the nice thing is that it has a head liner so it fits your head just perfect. Id give this 10 stars if I could.
