Karl Ludvigsen has compiled an intimate view of one of the most esteemed Grand Prix race cars.He provides in in-depth view of the many aspects that propelled these cars to legendary status.

A bit light on the technical side, but tells the essence of the story, and includes wonderful period photo material. For it`s price I feel I got the information I wanted, but for something more profound on the W196 you`ll have to look elsewhere.

Contains an excellent selection of well known but also rare internal pictures - just missing some basic dimension data and sizes.
