Steam Knob for Rancilio Silvia Version 3

My Silvia v1 knob finally had enough and rounded out on me. Bought this one and fit perfectly. As others have mentioned, it does have a better feel to it being a bit bigger in diameter. Glad I found one so easily and received so quickly.

I’ve got an older Rancilio (I think V2) and wanted to upgrade the knob. This is an EASY replacement - basically just pull the old one out and push this one in.This knob is a larger diameter and is easier to use than the original.

My Rancilio Silvia had a problem: the steam valve was not affixed to the machine. As the water levels dropped, I always tipped my machine to refill the reservoir and each time, the steam valve would fall out. While I could reattach it by sliding it in at the right angle, this was an ad hoc type of fix. I did not know what the problem was and began looking into an authorized repair dealer.Then I saw the option of purchasing a steam valve on Amazon. The price was lower than any repair shop would charge and so I took the risk. It worked!! Although I was not sure of how much pressure to use in order to attach the valve, trial and error provided a practical solution.I assume that I have a version 1 model. It is c. ten years old. I know that because every time I pull a shot (generally once per day at breakfast), I deposit the sum of three dollars into a savings account and currently that account has a balance of $10,661. Hopefully this fix will last another decade...

nice - looks better than my v2 knob and a very easy replacement job. The v3 wand on the otherhand was not so easy to replace, but glad I did.

Great product for an OUTSTANDING machine. I upgraded to a new version of the steam knob due to my first one breaking after 10 years of daily use. So, I anticipate another great result with this upgrade.

This steam knob is terrifically updated in replacing the older version, feels tighter and more durable than the previous version. I can now froth milk again with my Rancilio Silvia thanks to this steam knob replacement. Very easy to replace and item was new as described.

Upgrade for an older silvia. Way nicer feel than the original when steaming - larger, so it fits the hand better and takes less force at the start of the turn. Easier to clean as well (no deep ridges).Install was easy, tho I did unscrew the top casing and use a slot screwdriver to gently cam/ease the neck of the old knob off rather than just force-pull it out the front like some people are doing.Spruces up the machine too.
