I really wanted to love this neck fan, but I don't
This is a long one so TLDR: The fans do not reliably blow air, and lose airflow over and over. Other neck fans do not have this issue and blow properly at all times, but you cannot replace the batteries with other neck fans, which is why I wanted to love these neck fans. Other neck fans blow more air, are quieter, and never have an issue with airflow failing. Read on for a more in depth explanation of the issue.I am not sure why these have so many high star reviews, but I think it is because people just don't know any better and don't realize how much better other neck fans are. If you don't know any better, they do seem to work decently. If these were the first pair I had owned, I would probably not have noticed how bad these really are.I really wanted to love this neck fan because the battery is replaceable, and I have a lot of 18650 batteries. However, they are not nearly as good as other neck fans available on Amazon, and I have quite a few to compare to. These are the worst I have tried. Not even close. The main reason I don't like this neck fan is that the fans sometimes don't "catch", or cut into the air properly with the fan blades, and the air stalls. Not to mention that even when the fans are working properly, there is still not as much air flow as other models.Let me explain... Sometimes the fan blades stop cutting into the air properly, and the air flow stalls, and the fan speeds up because it is no longer pushing air properly. When the blades are working properly the airflow is good, and the fan speed is lower because it is properly pushing air, but when the blades are not cutting into the air properly the airflow almost stops, and the sound/speed of the fans increases because the fans are no longer pushing air. You can tell when the fans are stalling this way. The fans speed up and the air flow gets worse, when it is stalling, and the fans slow down and the airflow increases when it is not stalling out. This happens randomly for each fan, over and over again. So you get a burst of airflow, followed by very little airflow, over and over. This makes this neck fan MUCH LESS effective than other neck fans I have which blow more air continuously, and are much quieter as well.To get the same overall airflow with this neck fan I need to run it on high speed, when the lowest speed is sufficient with other neck fans. Even when the fans are not stalled out on low speed this neck fan is significantly louder than other neck fans even when they are on higher speeds, and pushes less air... again, even when working properly. This reduces the overall battery life when compared to other neck fans as well, since other neck fans I can keep on the lowest setting all the time, and get plenty of air flow. The manufacturer desperately needs to redesign the shape of the fan blades/fan enclosure so that the fans can cut into the air properly to continuously push the air. The fans are of poor design and cannot reliably cut into the air to push it forward properly, so they stall out all the time reducing the effectiveness of the cooling. Two more minor issues:1. The flexible section of this neck fan is shorter than other neck fans that I have, and that means the fans have a more limited range of options for where they can be positioned. This becomes a problem for people with longer hair or a beard. So if that is you, look for neck fans with longer flexible fan arms.2. Another minor issue that should be addressed is the battery cover has a very tiny screw that needs to be unscrewed in order to replace the battery. Why can't it just be a normal battery cover with no need for tools to swap batteries?! Seems like a really bad design. But if the fans worked properly, like other neck fans, I wouldn't really care that much. But the screw/bad airflow issues, make these a terrible choice, in my opinion. Look elsewhere.

Great, but loud
I purchased these to replace a set I'd purchased a couple years ago that would no longer charge. (Not the same brand.) These are better in some ways, but unfortunately they are much more LOUD.PROS:- Easy to position in whatever way you choose. These are much more "posable" than my previous set.- Turning them off doesn't require cycling through all the speeds, as did my last set. You press and HOLD the button to turn on and off.- Cooling, but to be honest, I use these more to repel bugs! I live in the woods and gnats fly into my face/eyes when I walk the dog at certain times of the day. Creating a breeze in front of my face seems to keep them away.- They charge easily and go for quite some time on a charge. (Depending on what speed you use.)CONS:- These are much louder than my previous pair, which makes it more difficult to hear things like cars on the road. That's a problem.

Life saver while on the treadmill!
I saw a clerk at my local grocery store wearing a set of these and she swore by them. So I found this one here on Amazon and must say it's a great item while on the treadmill, cooking, sitting outside or just having a hot flash! It can be a little noisy but not too bad and you do get used to the hum. The battery life seems to be pretty great; haven't had it die on my yet. My only issue keeping me from giving it 5 stars is that one of the fans seems to vary in it's speed off and on. Never shuts off, just slows a little then speeds back up and it's continuous. Maybe just a defect on this one? The adjustability of the fans is great! Lightweight and easy to use and charge. I haven't used the portion of the fan for aromatherapy....just not my thing, but it seems like it would be a nice addition for relaxation.

Definitely a good cooling fan - but rather loud
I just got this fan, charged it up, and turned it on. At first, I thought I had turned it on high because it was blowing so much (which is not a bad problem). It was on the low setting...so, you can imagine how much stronger the high setting is.I'm debating on whether to return the fan or not, because it is rather loud. My husband can hear it from across the room. If I wear it while watching tv, I have to turn the tv up really loud. My sister-in-law has one (not sure what brand), but you can barely hear it (but, she also paid twice as much for it).I love the amount of air this generates. I stay hot all the time! I just don't know if I can handle the noise, though. I don't think I would feel comfortable wearing it at work because of the noise. One more thing, I find it very comfortable to wear around my neck. I was afraid it would be too heavy feeling, but it's not. Even though it's "thick" in the back, it's very comfortable on my neck.

This fan is a touchdown🙌 BC mambird says so!
LOVE this fan. Bought it to stay cool at my sons FB games. Used it this weekend @ BC for tailgating and to stay cool in the stands. ( 80*plus easily) Parent section is in direct sun and can be brutal. This hands free fan kept me from overheating!!! Between my hot flashes and being 2 weeks post chemo treatments it is extra challenging for me to be in the heat. This fan is Very well made and super sturdy, battery life was most impressive and the battery located on the back never got hot on my neck. I used the fan on high for more than 3 1/2 hours with no signs of giving out. So easy to charge! If you have long hair or wear long jewelry be sure to pull it back and be aware bending forward not to get either caught. My necklace kept dragging into fan blades when I leaned forward and amazingly the fan just clicked a few times, released it and was just fine. My favorite is it is light weight and stays easily around your neck requiring no fidgeting, adjusting or otherwise! Just set it up how you want the fans to blow and done! A bunch of BC mama birds will be buying these , your welcome! These would be a blowout item for football games! Can’t wait to test them at Clemson in a few weeks!
