Are you serious?
I read the reviews and couldn't believe that this little "Dano" pedal would be worth it's weight in dog doo.....But let me tell you.... This thing is amazing.I have a full on high-end rig used for recording/rehearsing/performing. It has an amp with a 3band EQ and pedals with several different ways of adjusting the EQ. So it has never been an issue to find my tone with those adjustments. However, my secondary set-up is a very rare and unique set up. It's a 1953 1x12 cab with a 1950 US Navy tube amp head. What the heck is that? It's an all-tube amplifier used by the US Navy to run projection equipment (for whatever purpose...?) I am using it stock. It has only a 2-band EQ. That's a dial for bass and a dial for treble. The cab is a 1952 Victrola projector speaker box that I put a 1957 Rola speaker into. Got the speaker from a 1958 Hammond Organ. This thing sounds amazing. Warm and has a beautiful break up if you crank it.I finally added some delay and reverb pedals to the mix and decided it was time to start honing in my tone.... It was impossible to get rich dynamics with just the 2-band EQ. So began my search for a good EQ pedal.Lots of looking around lead me to this little wonder.Plugged it in last night and was just amazed. First thing I noticed: It actually CLEANED up my amp! I don't have to rely on the amp volume as heavily.... So I could turn it down a little and turn the volume up on the EQ. Brilliant. Then, of course, the EQ settings..... I got to hear, for the first time, some mid-range in this amp! I don't use much of that, but nice that it's there if I want it! This pedal gave me nice deep lows and crisp highs. And all that talk about it being noiseless (or at least VERY LOW noise) are all TRUE!! This pedal could also be used just as a gain boost. The quality of this pedal surprised me. It's heavy. The sliders feel great. Sturdy. The stomp-button does not have that nice tactile click to it. But it has a nice feel anyway. The red indicator light is bright. The finish of the pedal is nice. Glossy and actually nice looking. The look and color works well with the other pedals I am using. (Peavey SRP-16 Stereo Reverb, TC Alter Ego Delay, Morley Volume, MXR Dyna Comp. Keeps the whole set up "vintage looking."If you're on the fence about "lowering yourself" to the level of this pedal, have no fear. This thing is exactly as-advertised. Great, clean, cheap EQ.Look smart. Buy this thing.

great EQ for the price
I bought this EQ pedal to use with a 70's amp project. I replaced the speaker and needed some mids so I bought this pedal to use for a clean channel. The EQ and boost works great for being a plastic box. I have seen the F&C be called 'pure gold in a plastic box' on a Telecaster forum and read reviews all over the net saying the same thing. The EQ works wonders for tone and is priced less than it's MXR and Boss counterparts. I am not going to rehash all the other reviews, but I use it with a bass/guitar amp and it works surprisingly well with the old amp and a passive bass. The boost combined with the 2 low bass EQ's works wonders for low end.I use a Boss GE-7 EQ pedal with a different amp, and the F&C works as well as the Boss as long as you don't mind the cheap construction from Danelectro. I do not gig with the pedal so the plastic doesn't matter to me. I am wondering how long the switch will last though, but at this price, who can be critical. Some Danelectro pedals can be sorted into the novelty realm, but this one is actually very functional and can open up all new sounds. I also tried the EQ with a Telecaster and the pedal gave me alot more bass and low end. I hope this lasts as long as my old all plastic FAB distortion that I bought used for $5.

Great Pedal!!
My Vox amp only has treble and bass knobs. not a lot of adjustment. I use a Danelectro guitar which is on the treble side, so wanted a little more control, and a little more bass at times. This pedal does the trick. Also do not notice increase in noise level. Has a plastic body, but seems to be very durable. knobs seem to be of high quality too.

Great for HAM RADIO
I use it on the receive off my radio to the speaker and what a difference it makes. I had to buy special cables that were Mono 1/4" Male Phone to Stereo Mini 8. I also use a CLR DSP by West Mountain that clears up all the noise. I couldn't understand half the time what people were saying until I used this setup. This clarifies the audio and pulls out of the noise what you really want to here well.

for the price it can't be beat
a good boost and cleans up sound okay. I have a vox and another amp in stereo, so the tone is a little dark once I have the eq where I want it. this adds treble and bass, which the vox really lacks, so it is nice to have that bottom end in the sound. for the price it is a good eq pedal. the power input is too close to the cords/cables, but that can be solved. the pedal feels so so as far as stability, so I keep it on at all times. great eq and for now I don't see spending more on another one. I would like a 3 band eq pedal. I haven't seen one of those though, lol

pedal is a tone shaper
The pedal is a tone shaper and a bit of a booster. I was looking at the Boss version but this one seemed like a replica and priced much lowered. The pedal seems solid so far. I saw that Tom Bukovac had an equalizer (old Boss model) on his board and he swore by it. The sliders dial in a variety of tone shapes. I have it after the dirt pedals. You can tweak for daze! :-)

Seems good
This pedal, fish and chips, which i find it to taste nothing like, works nicely. And was pretty cheap..I've heard some complaints/worries about the flimsiness of the plastic. As of 03.13 the plastic seems pretty thick/durable.The switch does seem of a poor quality, but if it did break im sure either send it in and get a new one or put a nicer switch in yourself. As for noise, It doesn't seem to add much, unless you have the gain switch at the end turned up high, and with distortion and what have you.I haven't gotten to blast (play bedroom level, technically) since i've gotten it, but it sounds good through the headphones.I'm using a squire strat, fryette sas distortion, now the fish and chips, boss me-50 all running into, for now, my vox vt20+, which is outputting to my headphones. soooo...Its sounding nicer that way.I cant wait to get it through my other amps.I've also heard of very very short battery life. I've got the standard 9v i think from planet waves and it's powering it just right, so far.Tomorrow's the real test, a few hours at least
