Raised 18" off the ground, the Smart Air Beds Diamond Top Elite Raised Pillowtop Air Bed gives you elite comfort for a great night's sleep, which is why we stake claim to the title - BEST AIR BED! Complete with a soft flocked top sleep surface, this air bed is raised so you or your guests are up off the floor, away from any cold drafts. Engineered with diamond top construction, this air bed gives you the feel of a luxurious high priced mattress without spending hundreds, even thousands on a bed. The 23 gauge (.60 mm) super-thick, water proof flocked top and 14 gauge (.35 mm) sides and bottom give this air bed 600 lbs. weight capacity. The whole bed has expertly electronically welded seams for long lasting quality. The handheld powerful ETL listed A/C pump can have the mattress ready from box to bed in about 4 minutes. The pump, which is external and detachable, can be used to inflate other inflatables as well. The bed uses standard queen sheets (not included), and the fitted sheet is aided by the flocked topping and a well placed horizontal groove along all sides to limit sheet slippage. Patented anti-roll edges on the sides and at the foot and the head of the bed are a little bit higher, keeping you on the bed and off the floor. When you're ready to pack the item up, simply open the patented 2-in-1 valve to release the air, roll and fold, and store the item neatly in the included storage bag - easy to keep in a linen closet, under a desk (for those of you who take naps at work) or anywhere with limited space.

She has back problems and found it comfortable for a week with a mattress topper on it
I see the price has gone down by 50% since I bought it and understand why. I would have given this 3 or 4 stars if I had paid $40 rather than $80. Bought this in 2012 when my mom came to visit and I wasn't in a position to buy a real bed for the guest room. She has back problems and found it comfortable for a week with a mattress topper on it. We did have to add air after 3 days. Fast forward to February 2015 when I am finally able to remodel my bedroom. Sold my old bed and mattress and set this up in the guest room. It was ok, but I kept having to add more air almost every night. Took 3-1/2 weeks to get my room finished and was waiting for my new platform bed that had to be replaced as it was damaged in transit. Anyway, after almost 4 weeks, I was rudely awakened by a loud pop and hiss, and within seconds I was on the floor. It had given out at the seam. Gratefully, my new bed arrived the next day. Giving this away on Freecycle, maybe someone can repair it and get some use out of it.

Only Good for a few Uses - Very Poor Qualtiy
This was a major mistake and a complete waste of time and money. I purchased this bed a couple years ago and used it one time soon after I received it from amazon. It seemed to work fine that night and my guest reported it was comfortable. Now a couple years later, needing a bed to sleep in while remodeling a condo several hundred miles from home, it seemed like it would be perfect for my needs, saving a hotel room for a couple weeks . The first night the bed seemed to work okay but lost some air and had to be reinflated. The next night it seemed to loose air as soon as I got on it and was flat within a few minutes. being in the middle of the night I had no choice but to sleep on the floor. I tried the patch kit but it was dried up, so the next day I went to Lowes and picked up a kit designed for pools and air mattresses. I found the hole (not an easy task) which was located in the middle of a seam about 3" from the top of the mattress (not an easy place to patch), but seemed to have successfully patch it . After spending another night on the floor, I reinflated the bed and the patch seemed to work. The next morning I woke up laying on the floor with the air mattress bubbled up around me. It had leaked all night. I again searched for the air leak and found another hole on the same seam as the first! It seems like the quality control of the bed manufacturer is non existent, with defective seams getting weak and holes forming. Since any vinyl can be easily punctured, I have always been so careful making sure no sharp objects were around the bed or on the carpeting. I never thought the bed it's self would develop holes regardless of how well you care for it. Now I have been on the floor more than on my air mattress. I am extremely unhappy with this product as it has caused me several very uncomfortable nights both on the mattress and off. I weigh under 200 lbs and looking at the other seams on the bed it seems like they are separating internally, leading me to believe the basic construction of the bed is faulty. My recommendation is that this mattress may not be suitable for more than a few uses, if you are of average size and weight. Another reviewer basically said it only lasted one day but was cheaper than a hotel room, well I am not that rich when I purchased the bed I expected it to last for years with occasional use and proper care. If the bed is disposable I still think the cost of use is very very high.

Get what you pay for...
This queen sized air bed smelled really bad out of the package. We inflated it and left it outside on our deck for a few days to help outgas the plasticky smell, though it continues to carry a plastic odor. My 70+ yr old parents slept on it for a week and found it very comfortable, however, they apparently over-inflated it one night, because it suffered a catastrophic rupture - a split in the seam on the side. I've tried patching it, but it's a 4" rip and now won't hold air. Looks like I'm going to have to throw the thing out. But hey, for $80, it was cheaper than 1 night in a motel room. Also, it came with a detachable pump, which still works. The pump has different nozzles you can use with it and I find it very helpful for inflating my big exercise ball. We have an old Aerobed queen mattress. It's not raised, so harder for my folks to use, but we've had that for 10+ years and it's always worked just fine. It did cost a lot more than the Smart Air bed, however.

Great Air Mattress!
Inflates easily, full queen size as specified and queen size linens fit OK. I use it for guests in my guest bedroom. My guest reported that it's very comfortable after sleeping on it for a week. It's raised to a height that makes it easy for the sleeper to get on and off it. I added a 1.5" thick memory foam mattress topper (available from Walmart & other stores) and quilted mattress pad, and those additions improved the comfort level even more and provide insulation so the sleeping surface is not so cold when the thermostat is turned down. Supplied air blower will deflate as well as inflate. I've not tried to deflate & store it as yet so cannot comment on the ease of doing that.

Exactly what I was looking for
Contacted the seller before purchasing the item to make sure this is what I wanted. I just moved into a new place and needed a temporary bed for a few weeks while waiting for my furniture arrive. First thing I noticed about this bed is that its heavy. I've had air beds before and they've always seemed light and flimsy. This one is heavy, maybe 25 lbs. Everything came as expected including the separate pump (which if you have pets, they are going to run because it is a bit loud). Inflated the bed, and all I can say is wow. This is nothing like the other beds I've owned. It's got some meat to it, and the pillowtop feels really good. Probably took about 4-5 minutes to inflate, but the process was easy and painless. It's definitely going to serve my purpose, and if I can figure out how to roll it up to fit in that carry bag, I should be able to store it for guests.
