Milk Paint is an ancient paint containing five ingredients – milk protein (casein), limestone, clay, chalk and pigments. When absorbed into the surface, Milk Paint will never chip or peel when applied to a raw wood surface. It is suitable for both interior and exterior applications and is naturally mold resistant. Milk paint provides a completely breathable coating and is ideal for painting wood, plaster, drywall and a variety of other surfaces. It is environmentally friendly, non-toxic and contains no VOCs. With the Milk Paint Bonding Agent you can use Milk Paint on even more surfaces such as previously painted walls, varnished surfaces, ceramic tiles, metal, glass etc. Without the bonding agent, Milk Paint will resist some pre-finished or pre-painted surfaces to achieve an authentic “chippy” look.

or else dull and boring ones
I mainly bought this because when looking for wood paint, all one seems to get are either basic, primary colors, or else dull and boring ones. I'm so glad I found Miss Mustard Seed and I really love that the color varies ever so slightly depending on how much water is used. I used this to paint some shelves in my room and I think the very (VERY) slight tint variations give them that much more character. Also a bonus is not having to worry about cans of paint just sitting in the house: you mix up what you need and save the rest!Next time I'm looking to paint with a fun color I'll definitely look to them first.

Great Quality Paint
I love this paint! I drooled over it for a couple of days, then broke down and ordered. This worked great on raw wood- just like it says! The color is more orange than coral exactly, but I thought it would be, but didn't want to order the white to mix. For my project, it turned out just fine.I mixed 2 T. and ⅓ cup of water and it gave me exactly the coverage I wanted. You could see a bit of the wood's grain through still. I waxed when I was done to take off the chalky finish.I think this paint is my new favorite! My husband loves to do woodworking, and painting is always tons of work because of the priming, sealing, etc. Not with milk paint, I can't wait to paint the next project.

wrong color
I'm pretty sure it was supposed to be hot pink. However upon painting my item it was coral so I had to buy more paint from another place to get it to the color I wanted. Also it didn't cover very well. The seller did a good job in getting the product to me on time though so that was good.
