Is this leather?
The lead shreds and I don't know why?It produces nylon hairs after its first proper use, and I don't know why? Many customers are suggesting this is NOT leather.I wish the company would respond to questions raised.I have "shaved" the lead of its nylon hairs and it remains pretty robust. The company suggest you get that smell of leather! It really doesn't smell like my classic car's seats. However I like its lightness and appears very robust when pulled by my very strong working lab.Just wish the company would confirm or deny and reassure us of our concerns that we have been ripped off buying plastic a la Remploy over leather.

Good strong lead, effective choke and release
I use this as a training lead on our unruly German Sheppard. It really helps with heel training and close control. Make sure you have the lead on the correct way depending on which hand you hold the lead - if you have it on the wrong way, the lead will slip on tight as the dog pulls but wont loosen off particularly well when they stop pulling. After owning the lead for a few weeks, there are some whispy bits of cotton coming from the stitching I believe. Could be a sign of poor materials or build quality - will keep an eye on it.

I don’t believe this is genuine leather
I don’t believe this is leather at all as I have been using it for several weeks now and it still hasn’t softened any, as you would expect with leather, also it is fraying lengths of a silk like thread, which I have yet to find on any other leather garment or accessories.......

Don’t think it’s real leather
Stitching started to come away after first use..making it looked awful almost straight away. I brought 2 for my dogs and feel for £40 they should of been better quality .. would keep looking if u want better …

Don’t bother - poor quality
Not good quality. Within a few days the stitching is fraying and stitching became undone. Waste of money!

Not pliable enough
Like others I found D ring did not retract as it was too small for the thickness of the leather. Material was well made and sturdy but just too thick and not pliable enough for my young lab's neck.

Smart looking slip lead
Lovely rolled leather slip lead - great smart option of slip lead for a touch of class. Our boy does tend to like shredding them if left anywhere near them so I recommend leaving out of reach. Otherwise a great product!
