What is a Latch Bar? Latch Bars were recently introduced to the automotive industry to provide a common anchor attachment point for child and infant car seats. The Latch Bars are located in the "bight line" of the seat. This is the point where the back and bottom of the car seat comes together. This makes the bar nearly invisible, yet always available to securely attach your precious cargo. The standardized attachment points now required by law mean fewer opportunities to incorrectly attach a child/infant car seat. The Latch Bars also make an ideal attachment point for your pets too. PetBuckle Pet Seat Belt
I like this product a lot.(My dog on the other hand, not so much),but who cares! It would save her life should we get into an accident!!! I am a trained paramedic and if I have to buckle-up, so does she. When we go on long trips on the interstates you bet your little pug she has to buckle-up. She gets angry/mad at me when we reach our destination but she soon gets over it. I'd rather have her mad at me for a while then be injured/dead in an accident. The PetBuckle seat belt is the best product invented. I have a Petbuckle with lambs wool I used last time in August, that was pretty warm back then, that's why she was mad at me, so maybe with this lighter one she won't be so upset??!! All I can do is try. Either way she going to be tied. I love her and I want her around for as long as I can keep her,and with this product,It will sure help me a lot, Thank-you. Carla K.

Good solution
Instructions are limited. I found the rig worked better for tethering when fitted upside down, with the tether snapped at the brisket, and the cross piece over the withers. This way the rig doesn't get pulled sideways and require stopping the vehicle to adjust the dog's rig. The tether, sold separately, is snapped onto one of the vehicle's safety seat loop. There is no seat belt involvement, the way I do it. I have the medium size for another dog and I hitch her up the same way.Lastly, this rig runs a size large. My 30 pound dog is wearing the 10-20 pound size. My 60 pound dog is wearing the medium, which ws supposed to fit the 30 pound dog but would be overkill in strap and hardware size. The small 10-20 would be way too heavy for my 10 pound Chichuahua.

Loved it unitl I saw the Center Pet Safety crash test results
I stopped using this harness after the Center for Pet Safety released their report that this harness' stitching failed during their tests. I am now ordering the Sleepypod Click It which was the ONLY harness that passed their tests. Google Center for Pet Safety and you will all the results of their testing. I still think this harness is better than most but I want the best for my baby.

Strongest harness available in Australia
I spent a great deal of time looking for a harness that did not rely solely on plastic clips to restrain my dog in an accident. I came across this harness, as well as the Kurgo Tru Fit Enhanced strength, there didn't seem to be much more available. I would have preferred the Kurgo harness- the measurements are more specific, giving (hopefully) a better fit, however I couldn't find any companies that would ship to Australia for anything shy of a small fortune. The PetBuckle was my second choice. I am very happy with the strength and quality- there don't appear to be any weak places, all well made, however it only comes in two sizes- above and below 20 pounds- and doesn't allow for a great deal of adjustment for different shaped dogs. I have an American Bulldog cross with a very broad chest and shoulders. If I have the harness tight enough that it stays put (without twisting as he moves) then it cuts in under his armpits. Not a huge problem, he deals with it, but it does look uncomfortable and wouldn't do for long trips. Having said that, it would probably fit less bulky dogs far more nicely, and it certainly is secure. I believe he is as safe as possible in this harness, even if he is a little uncomfortable.Great price, too!

Needs some improvement
I bought this harness because my dog goes crazy in the car unless she is buckled down and hops from the front seat to the back on the whole ride. I wanted her to be safe on trips and also prevent me from getting distracted. It wouldn't stay secure on my dog due to the front plastic piece which make the hole for the head larger and smaller being too loose and not staying in place. I would recommend that you do not buy this product, it is not safe for your pets, especially if they like to wiggle around.

The rubber portion where the straps cross the chest is pretty bothersome. If you're handy with a heady duty sewing machine, it would probably prove best to adjust this portion for your dog and then stitch it together. Otherwise it can just become loose during the ride and this harness becomes a belt or a necklace.

pet seatbelt
I am happy with this item. I do no know if I am doing it wrong, but my 17lb dog is able to move somewhat around the back seat. When I buckle the seat belt can be pulled, so then she is able to move side to side. I have bought several other belts, this is the best one so far.

Happy with this product
Have two of these for our two dogs, one a Boykin/Aussie mix (60lbs) and the other a Boykin female (28lbs). Easy to put on and take off and keeps the dogs secure in the back seat.
