Full disclosure, I have not used this product as an aftershave yet. I HAVE, however, used it as a lotion for my face to keep from being too dry and to help with my skin. Over the course of my time using it, I have been very happy with how quickly it seems to absorb into the skin, and I've been happy with the way my skin feels afterwards. I am also really happy that this lotion, unlike a lot of others that I've tried, has not made me break out at all, and may actually be helping to clear up my skin (however that is speculation--any number of things could have impacted this if we're being totally realistic... I don't live in a completely controlled environment). Additionally, there is no scent added to this product, which makes it ideal for people who don't enjoy or get headaches from strong smells. There IS a little bit of a smell to it because that is a consequence of existing and having actual ingredients, however the smell is EXTREMELY light, natural, and fades as quickly as the lotion absorbs. You are not left smelling it for very long, if you could even smell it in the first place. I would additionally like to say that having tried this company's colognes in the past (and the present I guess, lol) I am very excited for them to start coming out with scented versions of this. the only thing better than feeling good is feeling good AND smelling good. The lotion is somewhat thinner than what I am used to (which does aid absorption, however) and I was surprised about that given the container it came in. As a result, I was a little bit disappointed with the packaging with regard to sealing to avoid lotion spillage. They use a plastic-papery layer between the lid itself and the product to keep the product from getting everywhere, however since this isn't attached to the lid, it can create a little bit of a mess when trying to remove it. I have to be extra careful when I use it because I don't want to waste the product. In this case, I think it would have been significantly more helpful for the company to have a silicone sealer/gasket type situation attached to the lid itself to effectively seal it with significantly less mess/fuss. That being said, that is my only problem with the product and not worth lowering it to 4 stars. I would give it 4.5 if that was an option.

This is really good stuff. Great ingredients that doesn't leave a residue and is soothing. One of the best aspects is no scent and this is important if you're also using the best cologne in the world which is made by the same company Musk and Hustle. I am addicted to their cologne line and this is made as a nice pairing so that your cologne is naturally present without conflicting scents. There does need to be improvement on packaging if the same consistency is used because it will spill easily. Maybe a pump bottle of some sort? Overall great ingredients and great product. Highly recommend.

I have sensitive skin and shaving usually leaves my face on fire. I use double edge razors and old school shaving brush with various shaving creams and soaps and even under the best conditions my face is left raw after shaving. I have maybe twenty post shave aftershave products and they really don't help at all I tried this product on a whim and I have to tell you the first time I put this on my face all of the other post shaves became obsolete. This stuff is amazing from the minute it hits your face your skin feels wonderful. A little goes a long way and though it may seem pricey I think my jar will last a long time. My other aftershave have gone into the trash this is the only post shave you will ever need

Best aftershave lotion I've ever used. Goes on smooth, light, and not greasy. Yet moisturizes really well. If your skin is very sensitive, wait a few minutes between the shave and the lotion. And I LOVE the packaging. Thanks for having the foresight and courage NOT to use plastic. The metal can is excellent - it works great, looks great, and is WAY better for the environment. (Mountain Men love the environment.)

I love this stuff - it just replaced Baxters of California's aftershave balm for me. I've been using it for a couple weeks now, and my skin looks and feels better - and it take so little to do it. I also love that it is unscented. I use Truefitt & Hill for my shaving cream, and I love their scents. Regardless of cream, I try not to cover them up by using unscented aftershaves, and it is surprisingly difficult to find to find a good quality one.You only need to just dab the tip of your finger to the surface of the contents of the jar, and use whatever sticks. Even then, that is almost too much for some cases. A little goes a long way.

I shaved and then applied this product. My skin was red all day. The same thing happened the next day and I suspect this will continue. In addition to irritation, I also had dry skin. Nothing about my shaving experience has improved since I began using this product. It's also very thin in consistency which makes me afraid that I might spill the entire contents of the jar on the floor while trying to open it. On the upside, it clearly has no added fragrance (as advertised) and feels soothing when applied.

I shave with a straight razor, so an aftershave is a necessity. Ultra Man is light and thin so it doesn't feel heavy on your face. Using a little will go a long way. I wasn't sure I was going to love the jar, but it allow you to use absolutely all of it. I got the unscented because I don't like any other scent clashing with the cologne I'm wearing. It doesn't sting either when I put it on. My face feels refreshed afterwords.It shipped quick and I had it in a few days, and it comes exactly as you see it. The jar is small enough that it fits nicely in my dopp kit for when I'm traveling. It will likely be my go to balm, as nothing like this is sold in the local stores here.

This product will burn on a scraped face (it does not have alcohol but does have some astringent) - as long as I have no razor burn, it just feels great. It works great and I wish I'd stayed using this year's ago.My only complaint is the tin. It can rust and the insert in the top came loose rather quickly.This is a top-notch product and they've earned a lifelong customer here.
